be sure to take the following:

surgical masks
hand sanitizer (to wipe your hands, face, and anything you're about to touch (especially in bathrooms))
rubber gloves
a change of clothes (change immediately after getting back to your car and put the clothes you wore to the show in a tightly-tied plastic bag)

Are they going to a concert or are they going on a killing spree? confuse

p.s Tron, dont forget the duct tape. wink

Thanks for the responses and encouragement everybody. I feel a lot better about it now. I think my mom was just trying to scare me into not going. And it worked for awhile.

Do you want me to kick her arse? wink

No, thanks. She just worries. About everything. Constantly.

But I'm going. I'll give a full report once I come back.

I'm so happy to see that you two are going! If your mom gives you any grief just tell her that there are now two confirmed cases in Michigan -- one at UM Hospital in Ann Arbor and one at Oakwood Hospital (they wouldn't disclose what location, but it's in Wayne County somewhere -- most likely, Dearborn.) You can't stop living your life because something MIGHT happen. Just be careful and wash your hands a lot and you'll be good to go smile

Tron...just recapped the news on SARS here in Toronto and I have a suggestion 4 U. Banks, post-offices, couriers etc. are wearing gloves and masks today...and another victim was claimed overnight.

I don't know what type of air you have purchased and whether or not your fare is refundable or 100% non-ref, or whether you purchased travel insurance, but I suggest you call your travel agent today and ask what the consequences are for canceling because of SARS. Some airlines are offering later date trip offers, where you can travel up to a year later on the ticket you have (plus any extra costs that might get added to the ticket). Depending on when you purchased the ticket, you still may have time to purchase air cancellation insurance, which would at least refund your $.

I know you want 2 see Annie so badly, but...after seeing what's happening today...you may want to cover all the bases.

sad

Nya nya nya nya nay A. Oh you'd look good in a full body latax stocking wink

Yep, bought latex gloves today, but not a mask to be found.
China should be smaked for this. Apparently, they hid the entire situation; there were over 60 dead people in China before they even raised the flag...and lawd knows Canada, primarily Toronto and Vancouver have huge asian populations.
