Even considering the risk. That's a lot of trouble to go to for someone you supposedly "hate".

And another thing, by masks do they mean of the gas or pollen variety.

I need to know how prepared I should be.

I never said you hate her... wink

I don't know, it is up to you... I just know I would go... all things considered, wear a mask.

There isn't a huge outbreak there is there?!

What are the chances of you getting it?

Maybe I am being too lax about it, I don't know... I just know how disappointed you two will be if you don't go. sad

My mom just told me that the Minister of Health has declared this a medical emergency. People are wearing masks. You can catch it just from touch. We will be out $600 from concert and plane tickets if this doesn't turn out. But even worse, we'll miss Annie Lennox. What are the chances? This sucks. I'm pissed.

When do you guys have to know so you can travel?

Just a regular pollen white facial mask, like the kind MJ wears.

My advice is to stop paying so much attention to the media scare compain. Only a handful of people have died.

Go, go, go go go go.

I love you both so much, seriously, so I wouldn't tell you that lightly. Be informed, do what you can to minimize any risk there might be, although it seems slight right now, and have fun. Be safe. You can't live life in fear.

If you got there, you have the risk of getting SARS. Which is alarming.

If not for SARS, when going there you would have the risk of:
- Being ran over by a car;

- Being shot in a gang-fight

- Falling down stairs

- Getting robbed

- Etc.

SARS is onely one risc more...just go.

Awww... Moonie, TRON, this sucks! I agree with Carrie though... I think you both should go. SARS is starting to spread I guess, but people are still out and about, doing their thang - working, going to school, hanging out, etc. Be cautious but have fun!
I mean, like, where is the sun?

But this just isn't A concert. Annie hardly EVER tours the U.S. and I've never seen her. I've been an avid fan for five years now, collecting EVERYTHING. Getting into her has meant a lot to me and my confidence. I shaved my head and died my hair because of her, and I haven't gone back to my natural colors since. Annie means a lot to me and this concert arguably might have been the most important musical moment of my life. I've been dreaming about it at night.

it isn't worth dying over.

Now come on man that isn't fair or close to accurate. The disease which has been fairly limited in its killing power has pretty much been spreading everywhere so what difference does it make if you go to Toronto or stay wherever you happen to be?

Like I said earlier now it appears there are cases in Minnesota.

Also, didn't you ever see Outbreak? If we don't bomb Toronto and China the entire world will be dead or dying within a week big grin

2 dead in 1 north american city (toronto) it pretty alarming. i don't want to see anything bad happen to my Renner boys sad

She knows the way. She's gonna take the river system and swim to Lake Huron. My parents' house is right on the water. smile

I agree bkw, ppl are being unnecessarily (typo?) scared by the media.
Some numbers:
about 1600 people die of the common flu in the Netherlands alone each year, this sars-virus 64 worldwide :pff:
You don't scare me; i got kids

be sure to take the following:

surgical masks
hand sanitizer (to wipe your hands, face, and anything you're about to touch (especially in bathrooms))
rubber gloves
a change of clothes (change immediately after getting back to your car and put the clothes you wore to the show in a tightly-tied plastic bag)
