A white guy I know asked me if I was attracted to white or black guys. I said it didnt matter to me. When I asked him the same question, he said he is was more attracted white girls because he felt they had better looking bodies than black women.

So men Orgers, please answer this honestly 4 me so I can reply back...

1)Who has better looking bodies and your opinion why.
2)And list physical and mental characteristics that u r attracted 2.

There is something interesting to add though. A science experiment analyzed the photos of thousands of different people from all over the world, mapped out facial co-ordinates, hues, and skin colors, and input all of the pictures into a computer program that was designed to average out all the features to create one perfect woman. Interestingly enough, surveys that men took part in showed an almost across the board opinion that she was extremely attractive. Keep in mind, the averaged out features were just of ordinary people, not all supermodels or something. I think that's pretty cool, anyways.

I don't understand how anyone could come up with that idea, because it is purely based on race. What if the bodies you were looking at were shadows? How would you know the race of a person? If you say by their "features" then I think that falls in the lines of stereotyping. White,Black,Latina, etc...all have beautiful bodies. So maybe this guy has only seen a handful of black women or white women for that matter. So perhaps he only likes white women. Could be just a preference of skin tone, and not a cultural one. I'm not a fair judge on the subject, because I am completely an eye man. That said, though, if I am honest with myself, I have to admit that on average I am more attracted to black women than white women. That is not to say that I would ever consider dating only black women, but I notice that I have physical preferences. However, looks are always HIGHLY dependent on personality. There are plenty of girls who are deemed beautiful or "hot" that I find rather revolting based on personality alone. There are other girls who are overlooked but I find very attractive due to personality.

Physical characteristics that attract me:

• big, bright eyes that seem to be taking in the world and have great depth. I find that I am often overwhelmed by looking at some girls' eyes and blush and have to turn away. I have always loved brown eyes, but a good set of eyes is not dependent on color.
  
  
• clean hair. Style and length can be anything- it just has to suit the person.
  
  
• a natural look. I don't like it when girls cake on make-up to hide their "imperfections." If it glows in light, it's too much.
  
  

Mental characteristics that attract me:

• individuality. I like a girl whose opinions are her own, not a formulated choice to garner acceptance by the public at whole. If she thinks for herself, I am definitely intrigued.
  
  
• just having opinions. Ambivalence is a big turn-off for me. I like it when people are fervent about their opinions and have thought them out well. They should be able to back up their opinions as well.
  
  
• tolerance. I have to have a girl with a mind open to new things and willing to accept different perspectives. Just yesterday I heard a girl say, "I don't like gay people" and I was shocked and disappointed.

Your friend feels the way he feels, it's his ridiculous opinion based on nothing more than his perception & preference. (see Chico319's comments about bodies in shadow, excellent point). Maybe he doesn't know/hasn't seen many Black women. He may not even really believe that, he might think it sounds like a good excuse & justifies him excluding Black women from his pool of preference - who knows? Bottom line: it's a blanket statement that can never be proven. Having a beautiful body is an individual thing, NOT a race thing.

The Org is the LAST place I would seek any info that has anything to do with race. I don't even trust 'em when it comes to Prince music & that's what this mutha is about!!!

Let's see...physical characteristics I go for are usually in the face. An attractive face to me is more appealing than a great body. I'm not a "butt", "leg", or "boob" man at all, and I don't have one type of lady that I go for.

Mentally, I basically want someone that I can communicate with and has the same likes as I do.
