Should birthdays still be special as you get older?

I am in the process of “enjoying” the last birthday of my twenties. I feel like there is such a pressure to enjoy oneself on your birthday that it ruins the day. Anyone have any secrets to guarantee Birthday enjoyment, stress free, just like it used to be?

Let someone else organize your birthday, so you can just enjoy it !! (And drink a few to loosen up, might help)

I suggest not worrying about it. Some birthdays are great, some are dull, some flat out suck. High expectations can ruin it an otherwise cool birthday...
heart prince I never met you, but I LOVE you & I will forever!! Thank you for being YOU - my little Princey, the best to EVER do it prince heart

It should be even MORE special!!! I'm serious! It's wonderful to hear someone say that they just turned 80, and they are just as active as a 20 year old!

As you get older, the number attached to your age will be less and less important, but your birthdays still are!!!

woot!

Plan small and think big. Start with a small gathering (2 or 3) then do whatever...

Birthdays should always be special no matter how old you are. When it's one of my family members birthdays I always go all out for them, cake, dinner, presents, anything their heart desires is theirs.

I haven't celebrated a birthday (as in, thrown a party) since I was 21. Birthdays don't mean much to me anymore...
