The Little Prince (2015) - A little girl lives in a very grown-up world with her mother, who tries to prepare her for it. Her neighbor, the Aviator, introduces the girl to an extraordinary world where anything is possible, the world of the Little Prince.

On par with the best Disney/Pixar movies of the last few years. It's a shame it has had such a difficult time getting to cinemas. 4/5

Super (2010)

A darker, more gratuitously violent version of Kick Ass. Solid cast can't quite redeem it.

I just finished "The Hateful 8". Very stupid and very boring movie.

Quentin Tarentino is becoming the M. Night Shymalan of this decade. Meh, he probably already is the M. Night Shyamalan of this decade. The dude has been coasting on "Pulp Fiction" for about 20 years now.

When I started watching this movie, my daughter's boyfriend mentioned it was filmed in Telluride. So I began mentally forming my review around the landing strip in Telluride. It's basically a mesa. If you ever want to know what it's like to land on, or take off of, an aircraft carrier then Telluride is your place. I have a friend who flew in there in his jet one winter, hit some ice, and the jet skidded off the runway and down the mountain. I asked him if he was scared and he said no, he was mad at the pilot because as the jet started skidding the pilot threw up his arms and started yelling "Mommy! Mommy! Mommy!" instead of trying to do something to lessen the crash. But everybody lived, so that's good.

Anyway, I have lots more cool Telluride stories (or "To-Hell-You-Ride" as we call it) but this movie isn't worth any more stories. Heck, it really wasn't even worth the plane crash story except to give me a rating unit.

"The Hateful 8" gets 1 "Mommy!" out of 5 "Mommy!"'s. The only thing good about this movie are the shots of Telluride, but really - you don't need 168 minutes of them.

I still haven´t watched it because the last two movies before the Hateful 8 bored me so much. I simply couldn´t watch Inglorious Basterds....and I´ve tried a few times...and I also never finished watching Django.

I understand why you´re comparing him to Shyamalan but come on, Tarantino has made quiete a few really entertaining movies after Pulp Fiction. I really liked Jackie Brown, and Kill Bill was good, too. That car movie with the girls ( see, I can´t even remember the title lol ) bored me , too. But no Tarantino movie is as boring as Inglorious Basterds and Django.

I wish he´d never watched German westerns in his hotel room.

Now he´s making nothing but western movies with the same damn actors in them.

And I can´t stand his overuse of the term n.gg.r.

He´s taking it way too far, artistic freedom my ass. Dude thinks he´s black or something. Just because Samuel Jackson has no problem with it does not mean that Tarantino has to use the word in every damn movie he´s made.

Can´t stand his ass.

The way he uses black vernacular is cringeworthy, too.

Time for Taratino to come back with a really exciting, fresh new movie.

I really liked Django too. If I was to rate Tarantino movies, and I'm currently watching them all again in chronological order so it fits the theme of this thread, I would rate them as follows:

1. Reservoir Dogs
I still believe this to be his best movie.

2. True Romance (I know he didn't direct it but he wrote it and it has a very Tarantinoish feel)

3. Pulp Fiction
Brilliant script and great cast.

4. Jackie Brown
His most underrated movie.

5. The Hateful Eight
Or maybe this is his most underrated movie? I don't get the hate surrounding this.

6. Inglorious Basterds
Brilliant return to form and Hans Landa is my all time favourite Tarantino character.

7. Kill Bill Volume 1
I grew up with martial arts movies by Yuen Woo Ping so with him calling the shots in the action scenes, this is a particular favourite of mine.

8. Django Unchained
Jamie Fox's best movie by miles and Leo's best performance.

9. Kill Bill Volume 2
Not as good as part one but still a solid enough action movie

10. His segment from Four Rooms
Stupid, but still entertaining.

11. Death Proof
Great car chase and Kurt Russell being cool but aside from that, it's shit.

i want to play...

in order of personal preference...

1. inglorious basterds - i could watch this anytime. i especially love the homage to the 'patterns of force' episode of star trek.

2. django unchained - nearly flawless. at times so sweet, it makes tears well up.

3. pulp fiction - because of course.

4. jackie brown - underrated and elmore leonard.

5. death proof - had me laughing out loud. excellent performance from kurt russel.

6. resevoir dogs - might could switch places with 'death proof' for refreshing use of dialogue.

the rest i'm less familiar with so don't feel i could rate them fairly, but i've never watched a tarantino movie and not liked it. he's starting to use a lot more subtext in his current stuff, which i rather enjoy; but i think it's lost on folks who don't recognize the references and homages that he utilizes to say what he's saying. that said, whether you get it or not, he's still making quality movies.

Rating Tarentino movies? Can I play???? Great, here goes!

1. Pulp Fiction - One of the best movies EVER - if you're a guy. Some girls like this too, but most don't and I completely get it. But I'm a dude, so star star star star star

2. Inglorious Basterds - SPOILER ALERT. I mean, come on! If you haven't seen this movie by now, that's on you and I don't feel bad about telling you they blow away Hitler at the end. How cool was that! star star star star

3. Reservoir Dogs - A classic, although it ruined "Stuck in the Middle With You" for me. But who cares! Mr. Pink RULED. Steve Buscemi deserved an Oscar, as far as I'm concerned. The whole movie was great. Heck, I probably ought to rate this one at #2 except they didn't kill Hitler in this movie star star star star

4. Death Proof - OK now for me, the drop-off in quality is steep. This is a good movie but it's not great. Neat twist at the end, what with SPOILER ALERT Kurt Russell getting bludgeoned to death. But this is not really a memorable movie IMO (I had to look up everything about it on wikipedia) star star 1/2

5. The Hateful Eight - As you might have surmised if you read my review of this movie and yet see this ranked #5, I haven't seen many more Tarentino movies. This movie was too long and too boring. It was pretty to look at, that's all star star

6. Kill Bill, Vol. 2 - Completely stupid movie. I thought maybe because I've never seen Vol. 1 that maybe I was missing out on really cool and important stuff that would make Vol. 2 a great movie, but nope. I read up on Vol. 1 and I'm sure I missed nothing. star 1/2

I haven't seen any other Tarentino movies, except does "Natural Born Killers" count, even though only the story is his, and he didn't direct it? Because if it does, then it comes in at #4 and gets star star star 1/2.

.
