MEMNOCH THE DEVIL anne rice as a matter of fact, i would like them to go back to the drawing board on THE VAMPIRE CHRONICLES and tell the story as it should have been told (la stat's maker burned himself in the fire and left la stat not knowin anything THUS was he the way he was) and armand was a child which made his character what it was... of course... aliya kinda made it impossible for anybody else to play akasha BUT!!!
the only thing that prevented movies from adherin to the books they came from was the technology of the past... now the shit can be done 'cost effectively'...
PETER PAN... if you've read the original book, you know that they only cam close in this last movie "PAN" (which was pretty good) i'd like to see them do with it (all movies i mention) what they did with OZ THE MAGNIFICENT (which i'd like to see where that goes too)

I'd like a part two of "Shawshank Redemption" to see how Andy and Red fared. I love that movie and think Morgan Freeman and Tim Robbins would be great in a continuation of their friendship and adventures with the charter business. Oh, I'm just trippin...

I'll go a little bit different and instead of choosing a book for the Hollywood treatment, I'll go for a game. Mass Effect. If done right, it could easily rival the likes of Star Wars or at the very least, Firefly/Serenity.

The Talisman by Stephen King.
Song of Solomon by Toni Morrison. The Friends by Rosa Guy. Read all her books growing up. Carbonel the witches cat by Barbara Sleigh. A childhood fave, named my cat Carbonel [Edited 7/19/16 6:12am] "We just let people talk & say whatever they want 2 say. 9 times out of 10, trust me, what's out there now, I wouldn't give nary one of these folks the time of day. I think this eight week run could make a pretty tight movie.

I was going to suggest another Sherlock Holmes movie but I'd rather if they did a big movie based on the Benedict Cabbagepatch TV series.

Well, until last night, it was "Last Man Club". This was a script from Bo Brinkman, formerly famous for being married to Melissa Gilbert. He's a local guy, and back in the last 90's he needed money. My dad and some of his friends funded Brinkman, and Brinkman dedicated the script to my dad and his buddies.

I know it's technically being made at the moment but from what I gather, it's not going to be a faithful adaptation, so I'd like to see the first part in Stephen King's Dark Tower series "The Gunslinger" get the big screen treatment.

I wouldn't trust today's Hollywood with any decent material. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.
