It is a choice that two people make. Sometimes not when an unexpected surprise comes along when it is unplanned - it takes two to tango

a really good reason???

because they have issues with the rest of the world

and are unfortunate enough to only be one person.

so what do they do? they go hook up with a spouse

just as fukkked up OR soon will be. "now we are two"

however, at this point, they still haven't found a way

that just the two of them can spread maximum 'fukkk you's

to the world... thus do they make kids. then they make rules

like "it's not good for the child if you are aggressive toward then

and hittin is just uncalled for" because they don't want to put in the work...

this means disapline is out the window "but it's ok, their just bein kids"

or any excuse will do....

the part of what i say that you will not like...

the people that i'm talkin about are the people that ask the question you did... hehehe

Some people just have a natural paternal instinct they want to use. That explains the 15 - 20 percent that actually choose to conceive. Then there are those who believe God commands them to be fruitful and multiply. A lot of millennials actually don't want them due to overpopulation, career ambitions, the world being a nasty place and fear of mental health issues.

FUNKYNESS

Social conditioning dictates that adults produce children at certain intervals in their lives. Society tells women that they have to validate their womanhood by being mothers - getting married to Prince Charming, live in a beautiful castle, and breed multiple babies to fill it - living happily ever after. I find it amazing that most women still expect some version of this school girl fairy tale to actually come true. To a lesser extent, similar expectations are thrust upon men.

Having children is grossly overrated but most can not understand this until they actually make the mistake of producing them.

Great thread.

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is PurpleJedi, and I am a willing father.

My ex & I - shortly after getting married - had a conversation about starting a family.

Not as to WHY, but rather when. We were young and our careers were nascent, so we had to decide as to whether we should have kids "now" that we were young and full of energy, or later when we had money. We chose for the "now". We had 3 kids, and yes I've spent the better part of the past 20 years money-poor.

As to the "why"? It was a no-brainer. I love children. We loved children. Before we had our own, we would take my nieces out - to the park, to the beach, etc. and truly enjoyed it.
shrug I don't know. Maybe it's genetic? Maybe social conditioning as some have claimed. But whatever the case, I love kids. Even now, at 45 years old, I still would have a baby if the right woman came into my life.

I won't say that it's easy, nor will I say that it's for everyone. Heck, even my ex wound up tapping out. Kids are with me now (as she's off exploring what makes her happy in life).

But for me...watching these kids grow up...from these tiny little balls of flesh into (now) young adults has been a very rewarding experience. All of our adventures and trips and experiences; it gives me joy. Each one is a part of me. Their happiness brings me happiness. Their sadness brings me consternation. Their laziness brings me high blood pressure. razz

Now that they're teenagers and going through their teenage angst, I still love them to death. All these years later, I'm still money-poor, ...but I feel rich in my own way.

Life is a sexually transmitted disease, if we didn't make babies, there would be no more people.... so be glad some of us are popping them out in the name of humanity.

I don't worry what other people do with their pussies... I mind my own. I could wear down a dozen shovels digging all over the placeand not find one fuck to give about what they think about my family make-up and how I do me. biggrin
