Today was just a cardio day for me. So i just walked for about 5 miles to work and back for my cardio. This is basically a day off of working out for me lol will get back to lifting tomorrow.

Friday workout
30 minutes cardio

Preacher curl 3 sets of 8
Bicep curl 3 sets of 8
Seated calf raise 3 sets of 10
Single leg press 4 sets of 12
Regular leg press 4 sets of 12
Standing dumbbell curls 1 set of 10. Then 2 sets of 8
Ab machine
Standing calf raise 2 sets 14
Cable crunch 2 sets 20 reps
Leg machine 4 sets of 12

10 minute cool down

Today is July 20th, and is the 202nd day of the year. This means that as of today, I've done 20,200 push-ups in 2016. Annnnnnnnnd, that's pretty much it. I haven't been in a gym since March.

However, last week I participated in a softball practice. I played centerfield and ran down balls all over the place! I couldn't believe I still had the range; heck, I wasn't sure if I could still even run at all. But the dudes kept asking me, "Are you 57 or 27?" Felkt swoooooo good, and I really wasn't all that sore the next day, either.

You do a HUNDRED push ups a day??!! I did 60 every 3rd day when I was at the gym, and I thought *I* was the bloody cat's paw..... smile

Yeah. I actually started doing 100 per day on December 14th, because we were on a ski vacation and I didn't feel like going to the gym before or after skiing. So I just started doing 100 push-ups each morning as a way to stay in shape.

When January 1 rolled around, I thought "Why not see if I can do 100 a day every day this year?" So that's what I'm doing!

I am at Olympic level with my kegel exercises. I don't have pictures, but trust that it is magnificent.

That is my workout contribution. I work with what I have.

hey - I just thought I'd ask over here - is it better to go to the gym in the morning or evening? i read somewhere that going after you've eaten is a good idea, otherwise you'll be burning more muscle than fat! is that true?

....since there's fitness freaks like Gunsnhalen over here n all....

FYI, threads self-lock after 60 days so you'll have to create a new one of the last two weeks of this journey. Hope it's going well!

I'm still doing 100 push-ups a day. Haven't made it to the gym since March. But I will, sooner or later!

You can't burn muscle. Nor can muscle turn into fat any more than lead can turn into gold.

There is no universal best time to go. People have different metabolisms. You need to try a couple weeks in a row at various times and see what feels best. I do believe that working out very late at night is not good, but mainly because it's so hard to go to sleep after a work-out.

As far as food, never work out on an empty stomach. If you work out first thing in the morning, make sure you have something to eat before hitting the gym. Your body needs fuel to work, and food is fuel.
