I was watching the Cosby Show today, and it was the episode where Theo's friend Cockroach goes on a show called 'Dancemania'. Anyway, the music on 'Dancemania' made me think of Prince, which made me want to post about how great The Cosby Show is on the org. I was this close to starting one, but alas! I found this thread. |

Like everyone else I used to love the shit outta that show But I can't bring myself to watch it anymore, dunno why. It just seems so generic I can't appreciate it anymore. I still like when Rudy & Bill sang that song to the grandparents though, that was great

I liked it when I was younger, however as I grew up I noticed that they took the ethnicity away from the characters and tried to compensate for it on "A Different World". Cosby is cool but I prefer "Franks Place", I think the latter has aged better. Cosby while a positive potrayal of African Americans on T.V. has come to be a show that took Af. Ams and gave them all mainstream characteristics. The show did not represent any type of reality but hey I guess like most t.v. shows it doesnt have to. | |

Sanford&Son was classic! dont rememebr any eps of these 2 shows specifically but i know they always used 2 make me laugh when they were on. ***************************************************************************************

OMG I am so in love with the Cosby Show!! It's still my fav show today.I watch it all the time on Nick & Nite.It's suposed to be on now but its Kids Say The Darnest Things  So I'm watching Prince videos instead ~Stephanie~
