Celibacy

Okay this is another one of my famous sex thread, I just have a real curious mind, with alot of questions, I like to look at all areas rather it be one extremme to another ... so I know most people r sex crazed but I was wondering, do you think a couple could last without any sex at all? What are the chances of a couple lasting with no sex at all and who do you think would be the first to give in if temptation came into roll , a man or a woman?

SEX is a big part of a relationship, without it it's not gonna last, and to answer your second question the man would be the first to give in. nod

see i'm crazy cuz i got the freaky side of me right, but then i got the innocent side, I don't sleep around though, just waiting for the right guy to come along so I can b freak with and do freaky things too... but you know I see it as it all being out of love, that's why i don't think it's something dirty like some other might have. I have dated in the past, but haven't found a guy who's in it, i mean completely in it for me ... damn whoever came up with the player strategy mad

Not necessarily...circumstances speak volumes. I don't like to walk in any one else's shoes 'cause I've got big feet. This just means that you don't know unless it's your situation. Maybe the woman would be the first to tip. All men are not dogs.

I'm usually the one who gives in. When I'm training for a competition, the general rule is no sex for two to three weeks. By the end, I'm ready to explode (literally). All my girlfriend had to do was look at me and that would drive me insane. But the best part was when the competition was all over. We'd go for hours.

i think it's possible. a friend of mine and her now husband waited until they got married before having sex and they've been together for three years.

i think it's just a matter of finding the right person who's willing to wait.

It's easy to be celibate and a relationship can certainly last. I've never done anything more than kiss a girl, let alone go all the way. Love is what matters in a relationship, not how it manifests itself.

Yeah and someone wins the lotto too. Just is usually not anyone you know evillol . It sounds polictically correct but it rarely happens. A couple will be challenged to stay together whether they are celibate or not. They may have a bertter chance if they both are willing to be celibate(not one just waitng for a chance to hit it). If people were more upfront you wouldn't have so many pissed off people in relationships(saying you lied to me.

Yeah but see in this case, it's all a matter of trust and the reason why most people break up is because of trust issues, I doubt it if it has anything to do with sex...

Sex is what breaks up most relationships. CHEATING.
Throw away sex, i think you have a better chance of a relationship lasting. I like sex and being single, so i am not being a hypocrite.

I wholeheartedly disagree.

Of course, it depends on the character & depth of the people involved, and type of relationship in question.

During my late teens and 20's I slept with a lot of different women. We'd ususally get busy pretty soon into the relationship and sometimes that was all there was to the relationship. I was starting to get pretty cold with women...like if they had the slightest fault...I would dump them...or maybe just bang them a couple times more and then move on. I hurt a lot of people during this period. I also found NOTHING in having all this random sex with no feeling.

When I turned 29 I met a woman, who I fell for hard, but she wouldn't throw me the p right away, she told me we needed to be in love, if anything LIKE THAT was going to happen. ??? I was just about to dump her, but something intrigued me. Anyway, we dated for 1 full year without any sex at all. By the time we did we were mad for each other...and I couldn't believe the difference. It made it SO much more special. That night was incredible! Well, we are living together now, and both are VERY happy.

Remember what the little purple man said, "love & lust both have 4 letters, but they are ENTIRELY different words."
