TICKETMASTER GIVING AWAY FREE TICKETS!! So one of my music biz buddies reminded me of a class action suit brought against Ticketmaster. As a result, TM is giving away vouchers for free pairs of tickets, along with vouchers for discounts off future ticket purchases. If you bought tix between 1999-2013, all you have to do is log into your account and see if you have any available vouchers. Definitely worth looking into, as I have 17 vouchers for free pairs of tickets and about 20 vouchers for $$$ of future purchases. Here's the link | |

Seems this does not include Ticketmaster.ca unfortunately 5. Who is included in this class action?The Class includes all consumers who (1) purchased tickets on Ticketmaster's website ("Website") from October 21, 1999 through February 27, 2013; (2) paid money to Ticketmaster for an OPF that was not fully refunded; (3) did not and do not opt out of the Class; and (4) were residents of one of the fifty United States at the time of their purchase, including persons who placed, and then cancelled, a ticket order without obtaining a full refund of the OPF. If you also purchased UPS delivery for your tickets, then you are also a member of the "UPS Subclass."
Certain people are excluded from the Class. They are (a) Ticketmaster, (b) any entities in which Ticketmaster has a controlling interest or which have a controlling interest in Ticketmaster, (c) the officers, directors, employees, affiliates, and attorneys of Ticketmaster, or (d) any employee or officer of the Court or their immediate family members.

I'm told the "free" vouchers are released based on how many of those $2.25 vouchers are redeemed. If enough are redeemed to equal the lawsuit settelement then the "free" vouchers are worthless. So don't redeem those $2.25 vouchers | |

See, this is exactly what I get for buying my tickets at Publix Grocery-Ticketmaster...I'm gonna create a Ticketmaster account just for the helluvit...Maybe I'll get free tickets 15 or 20yrs from now..I guess I'll have to go see Beyonce cuz Patti LaBelle will prolly be too Old or too Dead.... | |

Looks like the dedicated site has been updated with shows. Mostly clunkers (as expected), but I might check out JIll Scott, Seal and Steely Dan.

I had successes on I Love The 90s, Heart, Brandi Carlile/Case/Lang/Veirs, and Duran Duran tickets for Camden, NJ. Also, Ticketmaster still lists all codes and vouchers on my account. if it was just a dream, call me a dreamer 2 | |

The codes are back but when I tried them to Hall & Oates and Heart with different voucher numbers all I got was "We cannot process your request at this time. Try again later." There are no venues anywhere near LA. I'm not driving all the way to San Diego to see Prophets Of Rage from up on the lawn. That was the only interesting show on my list. I did get to take $4.50 off my purchase of Sergio Mendes tickets though, I guess that's better than I've done in some class action suits LOL. | |

The closest ones to me are in Chicago. I'd be spending more on gas and a hotel room than what I'd be saving from these free tickets.
I wouldn't mind seeing BNL or Weird Al, but then I'd have to travel even further. | |
