Your favorite budget tips?

What is everyone's favorite budgeting tip?

I call myself "millionairess" because it is more motivating than "paycheck2paycheck"

You can get a tux very cheap if someone died in it.

Want a fancy yacht? If it smells like cat pee it will be a real bargain.

And as for beautiful ladies, choose ones that used to be men.

I recently started walking to work instead of paying for car parking. It's saving me £20 per week. Added bonus -I'm also getting decent exercise and time to de-fog my brain.

The secret to a good budget - never over spend

Average your bills eg electricity, water, phone
Work out roughly what they cost per week and make weekly payments in advance
When the account cones in at the end of the month u will either be in credit or owe very little

The money you have left from your weekly income is what you have to spend and save

But...aren't you a millionairess? confuse

J/K. Tell me why you need budgeting tips - in other words, what it is that you want to buy - and I'll tell you how to get it.

Not right now, I'm not. I try to only have positive and aspirational screan names.

There isn't anything in particular that I want to buy but I have a savings goal for the end of the year that I might be $2,000-$3,000 short of. And on top of that, I'm one of those people who will never think their budget is perfect.

First of all, I love your signature! highfive And your attitude! hug We need positivity, that's for sure!

Here is the RodeoSchro Guaranteed Strategy For Achieving Anything You Want:

Work backwards. Pick an end date, and pick the amount you wish to save by that date. This is where you START crafting your plan.

Then work backwards, picking milestones to achieve by certain dates. In your case, each milestone will be a deposit into your savings account. You pick the dates and the amounts of the deposits, making sure they total up to the amount you want to save by the end of the year.

Then, on those dates, make those deposits FIRST, before you do anything else or pay any bills. After you make your deposit, then pay your bills. What you have left over is what's available for food, entertainment, etc., until the next paycheck/milestone.

If you do it that way, you won't ever overspend on food or entertainment or anything else.

One of my favorite persons, Arnold Schwarzenegger, said about goals: "The hard part is doing it in your mind. Once you have crafted the plan and committed to it, then all you have to do is physically go through the motions. That is the easy part".

Good luck, I know you can do it!
