A weird thought came to me this morning. Since Lady Stoneheart won't be the new leader of the Brothers without Banners, is it possible that The Hound will get Beric's "power" and become the new leader? He's got the revenge thing happening especially against Brienne, he's now with the Brothers, and eventually I'm assuming he has to have a showdown with The Mountain who is pretty flippin' invincible right now.
I haven't seen the trailer yet, so I'm guessing these are scenes from it.
Yuuup The Battle Of The Bastards I support Team Ramsy.....I know he is down right but I think he is hot which means he will probably get killed, since nearly all the villians that I loved from the series have eg. Joffery. Well at least The Night King is still around, he's my all-time fav character

What are you talking about!!?? Most of the A-hole characters live a lot longer than the virtuous ones.

Finally, finally, finally the adult dragons did something of use. I love how they had Draco swoop in. I must say that Dani is getting awfully dark. It didn't take long for Sasha and Theon to get to Meeren.
Nearly died of several heart attacks looking at the battle on the field, that was very tense. I love how they use the Roman Style when they surrounded them and I guess Sansa made the best decision because if it wasn't for her everything would have been lost that seems to be really unusual for this story.

This was an excellent episode. [Edited 6/20/16 11:25am]
Well "Battle of the Bastards" sure lived up to it's name. Great episode, for sure.
FINALLY, we see that the dragons are being utilized. Well it only took 6 seasons right? Plain and simple, this is how you win against the White Walkers.
This episode also showcased the power of women. Sansa became the badass and savior of the battle between Jon and Ramsey, Yara seeks counsel from Theon during negotiations with Daenerys and Daenerys seeks counsel from Tyrion during negotiations with Yara. Girl power!
Seeing Jon get down, dirty and bloody, fighting for his life, phew. That sure was a scene. I can't stand enemies who don't even get their hands dirty. Ramsey, deep down, was clearly a pussy. Hiding behind his army, then running to Winterfell once he figured out that it was him who was outnumbered. Jon is an absolute beast! When he grabbed that shield and charged Ramsey despite being shot at by arrows and then beating the living shit out of him, it was like watching a man possessed. This is why I fell in love with Jon in the first place! Ramsey's demise was very befitting. To be torn to shreds by his own hounds...priceless. But do you know what a haunting twist of fate would be? If Sansa discovered that she's pregnant by Ramsey.
Poor Rickon, he didn't have a chance.
On a side note, we finally see Davos learn the truth of Shereen's death. According to the previews next week, we see a confrontation going down. This could get nasty.
Now can we finally see Jon's hair grow back? I liked it better when it was longer. The hippy ponytail isn't doing it for me.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.
Damn Davos gonna take the Red Woman out I really like Sir Davos...good man in a world of GoT Rickon shoulda been zig zagging...Poor kid. Little Finger ass basically caused everything that happened to the Starks so I still dont trust him.
I don't blame Davos. I found myself feeling for Melisandre, in her humbleness but then I remembered what she had done to so many people, she still has to stand for those atrocities. The time to have been humble was when she felt perfectly right in basically bulldozing over other people's lives.
I was literally standing in front of my tv yelling "zig, zag you fool, why isn't this fool zigging?"
Man, I'm exhausted.
Are we actually down to one episode? That went fast.
Whew, that was an intense battle.... Especially the scenes with Jon almost suffocating. But as great as that was, I think the show is somehow lacking in storytelling now. It feels differently since it's no longer based on a finished book (which I haven't read).

It has turned more into episodic television feel.

Morningsong, I too was saying the same thing zig zag or hide behind a burning x.
The big reveal this week was that Jamie L. is far more virtuous than we where led to believe. (The reasons behind killing the King.) When his character dies it will be sad yet victorious.

They're coming out of adolescence and on the same page.
I must say that Dani is getting awfully dark.
She gets it honest from her Dad, and Tyrion basically told her about herself and convinced her to go a different way.

It was Sansa's episode, really. She was right. She knew Rickon was toast and Ramsay would use him to bait Jon. And when the Boltons, as you say, phalanxed them, that was terrifying, but Sansa pulled her Ace in the Vale just in time.
This was an excellent episode.
At least as good as "Hardhome."

They needed time to mature. They can beat the Walkers, but does Dany have what it takes to defeat them? She's developed some tyrannical tendencies and good thing Tyrion's there to rein her in.
This episode also showcased the power of women. Sansa became the badass and savior of the battle between Jon and Ramsey, Yara seeks counsel from Theon during negotiations with Daenerys and Daenerys seeks counsel from Tyrion during negotiations with Yara. Girl power!
Season 6 has been all about women establishing themselves in ways big and small, even when the odds are agains them. Dany. Sansa. Yara. Margaery. Brienne. Heck, even my girl Lyanna Mormont! But Dany and Yara were wise enough to control their impulses (Dany to destroy everything, and Yara, to hold onto the Ironborn's old ways) and take counsel from Tyrion and Theon to make the pact.

As I said above, this was Sansa's episode and she didn't fire a shot. She made the right calls from beginning to end.
If she's pregnant with Ramsay's child, and she wants House Bolton to "disappear," then she'll need a new spouse. And Baelish is going to be quick to call his chip in.
Poor Rickon, he didn't have a chance.
And Sansa -- and the audience -- knew it.
On a side note, we finally see Davos learn the truth of Shereen's death. According to the previews next week, we see a confrontation going down. This could get nasty.
It will be up to Jon to choose. Unfortunately, like Stannis, he may be too wed to Melissandre as a good luck charm to give justice to Shireen.

Right I was practically screaming "dont run in a straight line!" at my TV. Silly Westerosi.

Hm, yes... Maybe Davos will then attack Melissandra, Jon will defend and then kill Davos...

They're trying to wrap it up and they're basically working with an outline of how the story goes from here on out, since it seems Mr. Martin is dragging his feet about his own series. Winds of Winter was suppposed to be finished before this new season started, and here we are it's over and he still saying the book will be finished soon. Ooops, it's to be finished Jan, 2017 :eyeroll: hardly soon and that's not supposed to be the last book, I thing there are still 2 more after that one planned. God only knows when he'll let this world conclude, let alone how many times he's change his mind on the flow of the story everyone else has to move on though.
I knew Ramsey will find his death in the "hands" of his dogs, it makes me so happy. Such a great episode, did you notice the little smile that Sansa gave to the camera, at very end?
Assume the X "Blackfish" forces reunite with the Starks of the North were perhaps they can do a little payback for the Red wedding. Unless, they have to defend the wall.

If it does, they can't attack alone. They don't have the means or the (wo)men. They need help, and fortunately, there are ready-made allies in Winterfell . . . and Meereen.
Dany teams up and takes the Iron Islands.
Euron is going to put up a fight.
Assume the X "Blackfish" forces reunite with the Starks of the North were perhaps they can do a little payback for the Red wedding. Unless, they have to defend the wall.
Good point, the reality is that all these forces may not have time to settle scores with Winter coming. BUT . . . the Tully Army has disarmed and is under the control of Edmure, so it's going to take some doing to get them to Winterfell. Blackfish's stubbornness puts the Stark Restoration at risk; had he left Riverrun with his forces intact when he had the chance they could have UNITED to RE-TAKE Riverrun anyway.

Yet, Dorne has a fierce army with a bully mentality. I think they are going to attack. Keeping the Lannisters busy. And at the same time Dany takes back the Iron Islands.
If the Starks are prudent, they will attack riverrun or revenge the Red Wedding while the Lannisters are busy defending. The Lannisters can't defend every where.
Euron can't be that great. He seem to bit of a loser of the family line. He doesn't seem like a leader but more of a "Trump" styled con guy. He'll out up a fight, but He can't out wit Dany's land army and Dragons, let alone the Greyjoy's best ships.

I agree. Dany will easily defeat Euron.
