Game of Thrones: A Painstaking Breakdown of Everything Bran Learned in His Vision

http://www.vanityfair.com...s-wildfire

Nursey's man.

THE RULES OF THE WHITE WALKERS

Hey! Bran got to watch “Hardhome!” Lucky! That episode was the best. There are a fewHardhome frames that I didn’t include here and it’s the only place I cut corners. But you get it. Snow, ice, zombies, death, etc. Presumably, Bran now knows a) how White Walkers use Craster’s babies to make more White Walkers b) that the Night’s King can raise the dead and maybe c) that Jon’s Valyrian steel sword stopped that Walker in his tracks. When coupled with the vision of Daenerys, we get the birth of the armies of both ice (White Walkers) and fire (dragons.)

Bran also saw the icy army of the undead marching on the Fist of the First Men, got a little refresher on how the Children of the Forest made the White Walkers, and was reminded of how the Night’s King marked him. (Nice reaction face, Bran!) As if he was in danger of forgetting. Also, Bran now knows the most startling White Walker secret of them all. The Night’s King? He’s been re-cast. Lastly, Bran saw the wights running after him and Meera in the woods. Is it just me or is this the first time we’ve gotten fast zombies on this show? The Stark kid wakes up just in time to tell Meera that the wights are here to kill them. Helpful, kid! Work on that timing.

WILDFIRE

For most of the significance here, you can refer to the passage above. You can see the pyromancers setting up caches of wildfire at Aerys’s behest. But it’s worth remembering that Aerys didn’t manage to burn the city. Jaime stopped him. So what’s with the big explosion? There are some theories. In the books, Cersei gets a little wildfire-happy during Margaery and Tommen’s wedding feast. Will they move that plot forward as part of Cerise’s ongoing struggles with the High Sparrow? Will she go citywide with her vengeance? Possibly! Or maybe Bran is destined to use wildfire against the White Walkers should they come to King’s Landing. Either way, like Drogon’s shadow over the city, this image foretells doom for the capitol.

They're discussed only briefly in the first couple of seasons, but rarely mentioned after that.

Hmm, the last two episodes, although informative, have been lackluster for me. I wish they would wrap up the whole Faith Militant/High Sparrow storyline. It's quite a bore.

"The Door" was IMO one of the very best episodes of the entire series. And "Blood Of My Blood" . . . the sum of the parts are greater than the whole, but still, we got to see a MAJOR loose end tied up, our first glimpse of Mad King Aerys, and a potential checkmate by . . . Darth Francis a/k/a High Sparrow . . . OR Margaery.

I really want to see how the whole Stark vs. Bolton battle is going to go down. And now we have Arya getting ready to leave Bravos too? Oh yeah. But first I imagine that she will have to kill the Waif first. Don't know how she'll do it, but I get the feeling that she'll succeed. I don't see them killing Arya off.

It seems like it's going to be On And Poppin' at Riverrun, and now the Lannister Army is in the mix, making it even tougher for Team Stark.

Yay, Uncle Benjen is back and saving lives.

HUGE moment for me . . . a 5-year mystery solved!!! And he's one bad ranger.

So now we know that Blackfish escaped Walder Frey's fingers, will he for sure be a part of helping Sansa and Jon?

I think most definitely, once he knows they're both alive. Especially Sansa. And he'll need them, because the Freys, Lannisters and Boltons are all converging on Riverrun one way or another.

I don't mean any harm, but these "motivational speeches" are getting a bit old. They were quite exciting at first, especially Tyrion's speech at the battle of Blackwater, but now, they are putting me to sleep. Either take action or keep your trap shut.

I tend to agree, but she's never given one atop a near-grown dragon before. It has to happen now. She's been writing checks with her mouth about Westeros for 6 seasons. With Yara's help she may cash them.

Game of Thrones Director Just Confirmed Your Fears About the Last Two Seasons via +Esquire

In mid April, Variety reported that Game of Thrones' executive producers were considering ending the show earlier than expected, with only 13 more episodes in the final two seasons.

"I think we're down to our final 13 episodes after this season. We're heading into the final lap," David Benioff told Variety at the time. "That's the guess, though nothing is yet set in stone, but that's what we're looking at."

The Blackfish, Benjen and the Hound ALL return to the Gameboard inside of 3 episodes.

Lyanna Mormont is my girl, though! Loved her.

The show producers are stating that after this season, there maybe only 13 episodes left.

I read that somewhere too and to be quite honest, I'm hoping that it's true. Not that I dislike the show, but I feel it's going to drag one season too many if there's two seasons left rather than one. It's time to wrap this up while the show still has some juice left.

I think 13 is doable. The last episode will probably be 2 hours at least. (That will count as 2 episodes.)

So I finally got the chance to re-watch "The Broken Man" episode:

Now that the Hound is in a rage with his ax (to grind), I wonder if he and Arya have yet to meet once again.

Glad that one of the characters "from the other side of the world" is finally going to meet up with Daenerys. We've seen Daenerys away in no man's land for far too long. Time to spice up that storyline and put them dragons to use. Wonder if once Yara meets Daenerys if she is going to remain this compassionate, breaker of chains queen or based on her last speech, make the deal for the ships and then turn on the Greyjoys.

I bet the letter Sansa wrote is to Littlefinger.

Does Jaime really have a chance against Blackfish? I think not. Looks like he and Brienne will meet again next week.

It's clear that Arya is going to have to kill the Waif and Jaqen before she even thinks about leaving Braavos. Better put "needle" to use. How appropriate that next week's episode is titled "No One". I think it just might be a good one. nod

You think she could heal from those stab wounds, those were to the gut, very bad?

Almost the same type of wounds that killed Rob, with the exception of the slit throat. Is there a theme with breaking oaths as far as the Starks are concerned? Jamie does it an lives, he just gets called names.

I wouldn't want to see Sandor again if I were Arya, regardless of how skilled she is now.

Like I said before, if she's ever going to go, she's got 17 episodes left to get there. So it better be right away. I think we're in "this is not a drill" territory though. Yara won't back down from Dany, and Dany has generally kept her promisses.

I bet the letter Sansa wrote is to Littlefinger.

It's going down in the DMs! (Heck, I've never even heard the song but it fits!)

Does Jaime really have a chance against Blackfish? I think not. Looks like he and Brienne will meet again next week.

Jaime has the cloudiest future of any non-Stark character on the show, arguably. Your gess is as good as ours.

It's clear that Arya is going to have to kill the Waif and Jaqen before she even thinks about leaving Braavos. Better put "needle" to use. How appropriate that next week's episode is titled "No One". I think it just might be a good one. nod

Did the Waif actually kill Jaquen? That theory is out there . There's a "Fight Club" theory about the Waif and Arya out there too.
