Stephen King's "Rose Red"

I watched this movie last night and I thought it was great! This movie made me jump once or twice... did anyone else like it? I get creeped out by empty houses anyway... so this really gave me the chills at times.

I watched it on VHS and have a question. On the DVD version do they say anything about this movie being based loosely upon the Winchester Mansion? Certain parts of the movie regarding the house reminded me of Mrs. Winchester and her mansion. Also, do they say what mansion they used for filming or was it all a set?

I hate VHS!

I thought it was too long and it sucked. I thought the acting was pitiful.

I think I told you about the "scariest" part of the movie, with a bunch of wind, and the door to my house blowing open.

Rent it... I really enjoyed it anyway. I did't read the book so I can't compare it to anything (but I see it was a made for tv movie, so was it even written in book form?)... Storm of the Century I haven't red or seen. Maybe I'll check that out when I go and rent 2001 Space Odyssey.
