This Is Probably The Dumbest Thing I've Spent Money On

But, I just bought two sets of these light up ice cubes:

What's the dumbest thing you've ever spent money on?

Tell me about it... like I said, it's probably the dumbest thing I've ever wasted money on. But, they'll make me happy for at least 12 hours each!

I like them too... but they only last for 12 hours once you activate them and they were $27 for a set of eight. sad

Sometimes I do very stupid things with money... this was once of those times.

God, could you imagine having a pool with these scattered throughout! Pretty!

Oh. . .if it delights you, it's hardly dumb, right? What else did you spend money on recently that delights you? Groceries, car payment. . .ugh. Better to buy lightup ice cubes.

I own some cool (stupid) toys. I have a little gun that launches plastic pigs, and a big scary looking gun that shoots smoke rings (I shoot it at the TV while I yell at politicians). I have a Star Trek communicator pin that makes the beepy sound. I have the fisher-price bathtub toy that Prince has in UTCM.

*looking around for useless crap that I bought*

No, you know what I buy? STUFFED ANIMALS. I can't leave them alone. I feel BAD leaving them at the store once I've picked them up. Like I'm abandoning them. That is CRAZY and STUPID and I do it ALL THE FRIGGIN' TIME. Or, I used to. I've just learned to avoid them. But I have more stupid little beanie cats. . .evil. . .if anybody wants a beanie cat, send me your address and I'll give you one!

See. Don't feel bad.

An asshole I dated...it wasn't much money at all, but at the same time it was too much. He was an asshole. Ya see.

I bought a Palm Pilot m105 for my then-boyfriend at the time for our 1 year anniversary. It was only months later that I realized the only reason I basically threw away all that cash was because I wanted to sort of tie myself down to the relationship. I wanted to leave, but couldn't conceive being alone - sorta like that Fleetwood Mac song.

Needless to say, I broke it off four torturous months later. Fate has a funny way of biting you in the ass.

Oh, I threw away $22 on a nosering that is too wide of a gauge for my nose and a ring for my rook that is just too big a hoop and looks ridiculous. I didn't have any time to have them put them in for me at the time so I took a chance and lost. Plus, the balls (which are kept in the rings by pressure) are too damn difficult to get in! I need to get ones that screw in or something.

I almost bought those recently as well. And then I thought, what a waste of money!

I might still get some.

I look around my house, and I have so many toys and crap, and kitchy (sp?) stuff, that some people would say pretty much everything I have was a waste of money. lol

I'm thinking that it is a HUGE waste of money. They better be worth it! I bought a lot of stupid things yesterday.

I'll let you know if they were even slightly worth buying. smile

Yeah, I seem to be drawn to useless things I don't need. It's a sickness.
