Jewellery Do you wear jewellery? What kind? Do you stick to the same, or change it around depending on mood or outfit?
Me personally I wear silver and white gold..BIG, BOLD and CHUNKY!!! I am known for my chunky crown ring, I must wear that everyday. I have to wear my watch every day too as I feel lost without it and my chunky silver bracelet...others, earrings and necklaces come and go depending on mood, outfit or if I have enough time in the morning to decide what to wear... I have a silver choker too which is like silver leaves wrapped around my neck, that is precious to me and antique but really really funky... Is your jewellery your identity or are you making a statement wearing it... Do you wear pretty delicate things or go for the kill and throw anything on?

Ex-Moderator | I only wear silver, never gold, and it must be real silver as I'm allergic to nickel. No cheap jewelry for me.
I have 4 rings I wear everyday and a few necklaces for when I'm feeling dressy. A couple bracelets too. I don't really like traditional gemstones, but I like black Onyx. I have a really big Black Onyx set in silver and it's my favorite necklace right now. |

I wear an antique jade buddha pendant on a gold chain, a massive blue topaz ring (not sure how big but BIG), an antique pearl ring and big gold hoop earrings everyday. I have tons of antique jewelery that only comes out on special occasions

Unless it's a special occasion, I only wear earrings (silver). I don't know how I'll ever get used to a ring on my finger (if I ever get married, lol) I hate things between my fingers/toes... :X

I do. My two "rules" are:
1) Silver-colored metals only 2) Keep it simple and tasteful I wear: 1) A palladium white gold wedding band 2) A stainless steel Bulova Accutron Astronaut watch (made in 1964) 3) Body jewelry in my piercings... either captive bead rings or circular barbells. They're all stainless steel, except for one platinum captive bead ring. Please note: effective March 21, 2010, I've stepped down from my prince.org Moderator position. |

i don't really wear jewelry, either. only things i rock on a daily basis are:
my little key necklace that i've had 4 about 3 years or so. i found this little key on the ground (think it's the key 2 a towel dispenser or sumfin ) and i thought it'd look cool as a necklace, so i kinna did a "frankenstein" on it...i had a little loop-thing from this hello kitty jewelry-maker kit i bought, and i put it on the key, strung it from this little ball-chain that i had lyin around, and voila! it looks sorta punky. i wear it everyday--if i forget 2 wear it, i feel nekkid without it. my hematite thumb ring, which i wear on the thumb of my left hand. on occasion i will rock a single hoop earring in my left ear, u-know-who style. it goes with my crocheted hat that i wear all the time. this little leather wristband that i bought at urban outfitters a while back. it kix ass.

I always wear: a gold bracelet that has 4 tiny, delicate hearts dangling from it, a gold bracelet with some (fake) pearls strung on it (this bracelet is in actuality a child's necklace that my mother had as a little girl, but I wear it as a bracelet cuz it's so small), my engagement ring, a silver ankle bracelet with a tiny heart dangling from it, and - at the moment - 4 silver toe rings of various designs.
I only usually wear earrings if I go out or get dressed up. Necklaces sometimes. Sometimes a watch.

I got a gorgeous ring at Christmas, silver with a pink stone, the way it is desigbned it just slides on and is rounded, so is really comfortable (and sexy) to wear, unfortunately I had some bad luck with it so never wore it for weeks and weeks...I have now started wearing it, but swapped fingers, and wore it on another finger, I am superstitious and since then I have had bad luck

I can only wear precious metals too, although as a teenager I used to wear anything! Cheap metal, plastic earrings, whatever!!! I don't really like traditional gemstones, but I like black Onyx. I have a really big Black Onyx set in silver and it's my favorite necklace right now. Sounds sexy!!!

I used to wear four rings... but I have taken it down to one that I got from my grandma at Christmas this past year. I always wear my charm bracelet... and, my earrings change depending on what I'm wearing.
I love diamonds and really have never worn another stone, other than a blue topaz ring that my grandma had given to me. I love rings!!

Jewlery is kinda simple with me also:
Silver Double Band **thin** on my left middle finger Silver Single Band **thin** on my right Middle finger Amathyst Silver setting pinky ring **present from my grandmother when my grandfather passed away** Sometimes wear a shell choker...sometimes a simple silver choker...I have a shell bracelet that i wear during the summer...**frat boi look** and a heavy silver chunk bracelet that I wear when I wanna dress up... Nipple rings of various shapes & sizes...all of them are nubium... As far as a watch...I have a high magnetic field so I can't wear them...they stop dead......But I think that I read in a book somewhere..Robert Fulghum I think...that wearing a watch only speeds up death......so I really don't mind not knowin da time...

What a cool thread... you can tell so much about a person just from their jewelry!
On an everyday basis, I wear a silver hoop in my left cartilage, a spiked stainless steel barbell in my right rook, a small clear crystal stud in my nostril, and four silver star stud earrings in my lobes (the ones in the second holes are smaller than the ones in the first). I also wear a silver necklace with a pendant of St. Anthony on one side and St. Francis on the other. I think it's aluminum or something because it's starting to lose its shine. No, I'm not Catholic, but I am kinda religious, and I bought it in Santa Cruz at a garage sale from a flaming middle-aged man for 50 cents. What a steal! If I'm wearing sandals, I wear a wave toe ring on my left foot and a thin spiraly ring on my right with a plain band on top of it. When I go out, I'll also throw on my white gold high school class ring and this silver pearl ring I found last year in the pottery co-op. I look ridiculous with any kind of dangly earrings, even though people keep giving them to me. I also change pendants every couple of years. Sorry this is so long - I'm just obsessed with it! I mean, like, where is the sun?

One ring - an everyday thing. Check
One necklace - 95% of the time. Check Different styles of earrings - 99% of the time. Check A bracelet that I haven't worn this year so far - obviously not an everyday thing. Check A watch - an everyday thing. Check Simple stuff. Nothing gaudy or flamboyant. Can't stand that crap. I had more jewelry years ago that was stolen, but I never replaced all of it, and those pieces I did replace aren't the exact same pieces. I think for most of us the older we get, the more we like to simplify these type of things. This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes.

I have a lot of jewelry, mostly silver, except one of my 0(+> pendants). Silver or 'other'. . .I have a lot of weird funky stuff.
My favorites: Black onyx and silver square dangly earrings. White flower mother of pearl earrings. Big gaudy dollar-store rhinestone star earrings. Silver 0(+> necklace on a long ball chain. Silver necklace with a blue dove and a red heart dangling below it. Waist-length necklace with big plastic colored 'rhinestones' hanging off of it. . .impossible to describe, very funky. Chunky silver bracelet with paisley charms. Multitone bracelet with random charms. Silver band ring. Silver celtic knot ring. Amythyst and hematite silver heart ring. I could go on and on and on. . .
