Death at Prince's Paisley Park Studios

A death is under investigation at Prince's Paisley Park estate in Chanhassen, Minnesota.

CHANHASSEN, Minn. (KMSP) - A death is under investigation at Paisley Park in Chanhassen, Minnesota, law enforcement at the scene confirmed to Fox 9's Ted Haller. Paisley Park is the compound where Prince lives, records music and hosts parties and concerts, including one party just a few days ago.

Carver County Chief Deputy Jason Kamerud confirmed a response to a medical call at 9:43 a.m. The crime lab and medical examiner are on scene, but the identity of the deceased is unknown. Law enforcement at the scene said no identification will be released until notifications are made.

he meant a lot to me. i grew up near across town from his hood. his work always cheered me up, been listening to him since i was 18, 1978. the past twenty years i've been paying 7$ to this generous soul who opened his doors at paisley park and allowed us rabble common folk in and he'd play for us and feed us and joke with us and i loved him. he let me feel okay to be a freak, dacing around like a wild thing. loved him from way afar but loved him anyway, as a. i never dared to walk up to him and thank him, but i should have. didn't want to bother him though. but now, i'll never get the chance to say 'hey thanks!'. you're a kind soul who helps other people out and you mean a lot to me. just can't stop crying because there will never be another paisley park nor another dance party nor another mr. sparkle shoes running around onstage vibrating with love and music and sarcastic wit and energy

and i really really really really wanna know why the crime scene folks were just leaving when i got to the park around 5:30 pm. why a full squadron of police. maybe they are just being thorough because he's such a huge celebrity, but usually it's the police, the medical examiner and the coronoer. the crime scene folks have to be summoned to the scene, if i'm not mistaken.

in the advent of the passin of folks like Prince

it becomes nesessary to to be sure of er'thing.

even in (or especially when) cases of prolonged sickness

you wanna be sure that things weren't pushed along...

it's a sad state of affairs, but capitalism has really changed folks.

It's really been a rough two days. I keep crying off and on today. The hurt and pain I feel can't be described. I'm absolutely devastated. The fact that so far from what we know, he was alone and by himself when he passed, I just can't take it. To be alone and wondering what is happening to you, then passing on...I just can't.

it's sad. but, i like to think the angel of death was with him when he passed.

Well this has to be added.

It's still weird that this is the thread that the org went kaput on me yesterday. I had no clue what was going on and was wondering if KB was making a funny. Had to wander off elsewhere when I couldn't get in. And then I understood. So KB thanks for at least trying to inform us straggler to what was going on.
