Bye Bron....2-5 in the Finals.

Ouch.
Conversely Wade doesn't have one without Shaq or Bron and Wade is one of my favorite players in the league. He did a wonderful job leading the Heat this year given the situation with Bosh this year and a little roster turnover but he won't get another unless he has another superstar to complement him.
With a healthy Bosh, I think they'd be in the Finals this year. Probably but I was more impressed with Noah Whiteside and his defensive presence in the middle. Those 2 young guards played well in the postseason too. Don't laugh at my funk

Really, are you going to go there? By that logic, Patrick Ewing, Charles Barkley, Karl Malone, John Stockton, Chis Mullin, Tim Hardaway, Gary Payton, and Reggie Miller must all have been pieces of because none of them won an NBA title. And David Robinson must not have been all that either, because he couldn't win a title without Tim Duncan.
Ask any of those guys would they rather be 2-5 in the finals. They would sign up in a heartbeat. There are some NBA greats who are 0-0 like Dominique Wilkins and we know he had some great battles with the one who is perceived as the greatest. Don't laugh at my funk

I don't. They sealed the deal for me when they bought the Steelers into it the other night when they booed Big Benzo. It was on then. They may starve another 50 years without a championship. I ain't saying I like the Warriors but: I enjoy seeing Browns fans suffer.

Truth.
Both Wade and Bosch are winding down now though. Wade maybe one more season in him and I doubt Bosh returns. I'm looking at Whiteside and Dong now.

In other basketball news, the Knicks defeated the Clippers to win the 2016 NBA championship (in my 2k Association, lol). Carmelo in the post, double-team comes, then kicking it to KP, Afflalo or Calderon for open threes............devastating!
Anybody up for a game (PS3)?

I almost blew my stack listening to some Knicks fans (on WFAN) willing to trade Anthony for Love. Even at this stage of his career, Carmelo is a better player and has done more. He's been to a WCF - Love fits the definition of "overrrated".

I believe he was called for a technical foul in the last game. BTW, the NBA adopted FIFA-like rules for technical and flagrant fouls where if you accumulate a number of these fouls over time, you end up being suspended for a game after reaching some threshold. During the regular season, you get an automtaic one game suspension after a combination of 16 technical and flagrant fouls, but in the playoffs, it's a seven TF/FF threshold.

I understand all of the rules but Green wasn't issued a tech in game 4 at all, Luke Walton did. I'm already aware that Green would've had to have 2 more techs for a suspension or the flagrant foul BS. He wasn't suspended for the whole Adams kick controversy during the WCF b/c they couldn't prove intent. This last incident was more driven by LeBron than anything else, though they did give LeBron a tech too but still, it's all a translation of them just trying to get Green out of the game...all b/c LeBron couldn't handle being called a bitch in the court. Give me a break. I'm sure worse things are said on the court in general. And LeBron wasn't even concerned about the actions on the court until a reporter showed him a video of it in the locker room....THEN it was an issue and he wanted the league to review it. For all of that, then Green was right to call him a bitch. [Edited 6/12/16 11:48am]I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince. |

During the Finals press conference today, Klay Thompson said that he was surprised that there's still guys that take the court trash talking so personal. And that LeBron may have had his feelings hurt by Green. LeBitch responded by stating that he's taking the high road "once again". When did he take the high road the first time??? I got to give it up to Klay, for a dude that seems so quiet and reserved, he's been very vocal during the Finals, I love it! I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince. |

LBJ initiated the incident but he didn't kick him or make physical contact in the process or he would have been fined, suspended or both. Green intentionally attemted to punch him in the balls and
he couldn't use the excuse that he did in the series against OKC. The league got it right.
The Warriors may not need him next game anyway. Don't laugh at my funk
