Oh Portland had every chance to win this game. Damian Lillard is the truth and
CJ McCollum and they have a damn good backcourt. Even Draymond Green said Portland
earned his respect. I'm not surprised Portland took them to the wire. Curry was the difference. He hit the key baskets win the game was on the line. I don't see how he gets off his shot sometimes. Sometimes he shoots from his chest. A defender with length and athleticism can block his shot. I know Tony Allen of the Grizzlies gave him problems in last year's postseason before he got injured.

No doubt that Portland had a chance...I never said or implied that they didn't, only that I wasn't expecting them to win at Oracle. I like Dame Lilliard, he's a great player. Hell I have more respect for Portland than I do Houston. At least Portland gave it their all and I can appreciate that.

Houston lol

Kind of shocked that the Spurs couldn't hold down OKC, but anyway....it's gonna be Curry & Thompson vs. Durant & Westbrook. Let the games begin!!! popcorn

Not shocking at all - OKC is younger and more athletic. Adams & Kanter really stepped up.

Wonder if OKC stays with their big lineup against the Warriors.

.....and Curry winning the MVP was a fucking joke. Take Lebron from the Cavs and where are they?

^ Not by my definition of an MVP. According to a stat I heard on WFAN, Cavs were 4-14 without Lebron in the lineup. I'm pretty sure the Warriors wouldn't be that bad without Steph.

I would have given it to Curry based on the season he and the Warriors had.
He is beginning to become a cocky little bastard though. lol
I sure hope Westbrook and KD school his ass in the conference finals.
It seems the media wants Curry and LeBron in the finals but I want to
see LeBron versus KD and Westbrook vs Kyrie Irving. Pretty boy can stay home. lol

I hope Westbrook takes it right at Curry - as Walt Frazier noted, Curry coasts on defense.

I'm just tired of these millenials already anointing Curry as the greatest, putting him above West & Oscar, and saying he's better than Lebron(a two-way player by the way).

ohgoon Curry is better. LeBron and everybody else just keeps crying and whining about Curry isn't this, Curry doesn't deserve that, whatever...grab some tissues already. The old timers who keep complaining is past their heyday. It's Curry's time now to shine. Folks will just continue to hate, but it's good though b/c you know you are doing something special when all folks can do is dumb down your success. thumbs up!

Westbrook is overrated. Durant is a way better player than Westbrook...just wish he didn't have to be Westbrook's mouthpiece too. lol

Westbrook is overrated how? Last season without Durant he carried the Thunder
on his back and missed the final playoff spot by one game when the West was tough
from the one seed to the eighth seed. If you had made that statement 3 years ago
I would have agreed. At least you didn't say LeBron is overrated. I can't believe
how many idiots we have that still say he's overrated despite being a 2 time champion, 2 time finals MVP and being the only player in NBA history who has taken
his team to 5 straight finals appearances.

Lebron can defend five different positions on the court, he handles the ball, gets his teammates involved, rebounds AND scores. He's played in what, five straight NBA finals? Without Love, Irving & Varajao, Cavs took the Warriors to six games on Lebron's shoulders. Already the dude's an NBA immortal. Curry is a great scorer, but as an all-around player, he's not on James' level yet, that's just fact. But his story is still being written.

phunkdaddy, you are right. I smh at what some of these young NBA 'fans' post on Facebook & twitter. Do they actually watch and understand the game?

Asfor my Knicks, I'll take any coach over Rambis.

Oh so you have to be a trash talker to be a good NBA player? What the hell Tim Duncan has been doing all these years? lol Flawed logic.
Not true for everyone bruh. Tim Duncan, Julius Erving, Allen Iverson never done it
unless another player came for him, Adrian Dantley, Joe Dumars. I could go on. Curry is a good guy for the most part but I see fame is starting to change his attitude a bit. My twocents

Western Conference Finals

Game 1

Oklahoma City Thunder 108 Golden State Warriors 102

The Golden State Warriors came into the Western Conference Finals as the prohibitive favorites to not only return to the NBA Finals but win a second consecutive NBA title. Meanwhile, the Oklahoma City Thunder surprised many people by defeating the San Antonio Spurs in the conference semifinals, who many expected to give the Warriors their biggest challenge in these playoffs.

But as the game began it appeared Golden State was going to resume their stellar play from where they left off, with the Warrior dominating the boards early and forcing OKC into several turnovers. Russell Westbrook struggled early on making only one shot on eight attempts in the first half, and the Warriors led by as much as 13 at the half.

But the Thunder would come rolling back, and Westbrook would explode. He would finish with 27 points, 12 assists, six rebounds, and seven steals in the game. Kevin Durant would finish with 26 points and 10 rebounds, and Steven Adams finished with 16 points and 12 rebounds.

Stephen Curry finished with 26 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists, while Klay Thompson finished with 25 points, nine rebounds, and four assists, and Draymond Green added 23 points. But the Warriors struggled in the fourth quarter, missing several shots and taking random 3-point shots which did not fall this time around.

Oklahoma City leads series 1-0.

OKC has to keep up the defensive pressure and stop making so many damn turnovers. Eventually the Warriors will make them pay for those.
