Disgusting, some years ago i saw one of them eating another, still is one of the most scary things i've seen.

What's disgusting is that he DID stomp their ass into a splat - I believe that all sexual activity should be encouraged.....as much as possible

i actually try not to kill bugs unless i have to. try to just move them outside. i changed because once upon a time i realized the scale of me from the universe's point of view... i'm not even as significant as a cockroach. might as well show mercy when i can. just my 2cents

yeah so, the other day i found a big reddish spider in the hall, too big and perky to just leave there and know it is running around where i walk barefoot.

.

so, in an effort ot be 'merciful' i trapped it in a glass and moved it outside on to the front walk where i gave it the shove off.

.

then, a huge blizzard came through and snowed up the place, dropped us down to twenty degrees. probably killed the spider after all.

.

i'm not sure what the moral is there. just thought i'd mention what happened since we're sharing stories

As for being merciful, I'll show mercy to spiders, ants, crickets, and almost anything except German roaches. It's either them or me. If you see one, there's a thousand of the disease-carrying pests. Fortunately, I haven't seen any in years because of a very effective pest control man.

me too but they're really cool. intelligent, can spin webs, eat bugs, and just... really cool. creepy but cool. what do they 'think'? i realize spiders are arachnid,. unrelated to cockroaches, but has anyone ever really studied insect intelligence beyond establishing hive minds and such?
