how to read your partner's diary when i was about 16... i found my girlfriend's diary... although curious, i managed not to read it... but it was killing me... anyway, one afternoon we were going through a box of cassettes that i owned, just seeing what was on them... then it came to me  ... she went to put a recordable cassette in the player and i quickly grabbed it off her saying "don't worry about that one babe... it's got personal stuff on it" ... this sparked her interest immediately... we argued for a while with me constantly saying that i believe couples should be able to have their own private space...and with her saying that if two people love each other, they shouldn't have secrets... in the end i handed her the cassette and said " look i really don't want you to play this... but you do what you have to do" i then walked into the next room...and giggled... she quickly put the cassette in and pressed play... only to find it was blank ... she was PISSED  ... i proceeded to grab her diary and asked her if i could read it... she could hardly object  although she did call me some names 
the downside to this was that i after i read it... i wished i hadn't  ... but like i said, i was 16
if i found my partner's diary today (i have no idea if she keeps one... but i doubt it) i can honestly say that i wouldn't be tempted to read it...i'd tell her that i found it... and that she may want to keep it somewhere else... you may not believe me... but it's the truth would you guys read your partner's diary if you found it? ... be honest now

My gf used to have a problem with me reading her diary, but she doesn't anymore. She lets me read it over her shoulder as she writes it, in fact. _________________________________________________

If I was 16 or 17 years old, I'd be very tempted to read it. Now that I'm older...not so much. I'd ask her why she needed a diary though. | |

baby let me read her journal or should i say, she turned around and it was gone... a former bf kept a journal, but i didn't read it. near the end of our relationship, i did and found out he had been cheating on me the whole time. while he was at work, i made an entry that i was leaving him and why. i was gone by the time he came home. | |
