Looks like it's going to be good. I'm more looking forward to Batman v Superman but I genuinely think Civil War is going to be the better movie. Plus, Spider-Man being in it might help me forget the the awful Amazing Spider-Man movies.

Do not understand the world wide obsession with Marvel and superhero generic movies, they're always the same shit, i like them, but there's just over the top reaction.

I love these marvel movies. Though some weren't the greatest shrug
But for some reason the trailer doesn't excite me. Though Spiderman is cool!

Now I'm not a big DC fan, I can't wait to see Superman vs batman

Of course I will see them both

I'm really looking forward to seeing how she's introduced. I hope it's better than the trailer makes it out to be. It looks like she just shows up during the Doomsday fight. Likewise, I hope Spider-Man has a proper introduction before getting involved in the fight.

So who´s going to play Spiderman this time? Andrew Garfield again?

I don´t like that look of Wonder Woman. Her costume looks nothing like in the comic books. Too brownish and normal for my taste, not even remotely like a superhero. We´ve all grown accustomed to her classic costume. I understand a little bit of change and modifications like they did with Batman´s several costumes over the years, or the slight changes on Superman´s costume, or Spiderman in this new trailer......but WonderWoman´s costume looks way too normal.

This version of Spider-Man has nothing to do with the Andrew Garfield movies. Its a guy called Tom Holland that's playing web head this time.

Ah, okay, thanks for the info. I guess the Andrew Garfield movies (and also the Sam Raimi ones) were not really part of the Marvel Universe because of the legal problems with Sony they had back then....before they renegotiated things with Marvel.

But I don´t really know much about those things.

Will Google Tom Holland now.

That costume looks very interesting. I wonder how Spidey is able to move the eyes of that costume.

But it sure looks interesting.

OK.

So Tom Holland is British.

Another British actor playing an American superhero. That is interesting. Not that I mind, because I quite like British actors but it is strange that they are so omnipresent in Hollywood, especially in superhero movies (Gary Oldman, Christian Bale, Andrew Garfield, and that Superman actor, too, right? ).

Must be pretty difficult for such a young actor to nail that accent in such a short time. I know they have dialect coaches but still.

I wonder what´s the reason for preferrring British actors over American ones. Not that I mind but there are just so many American actors, it´s such a huge country, and Britain is pretty small in comparison. Are British actors THAT good that their dominance in Hollywood is justified? I´m not just talking about superhero films....but in general. There are so many British, Irish and Australian and New Zealandian actors in Hollywood...it´s unbelievable, considering how big America is.

Russel Crowe, Nicole Kidman, Julian Mc Mahon etc. etc. Some have perfected their American accent to a point where they even use it in private conversations and interviews (like Julian McMahon....I didn´t even know he was Australian), while some others still speak British English in private but use American English during interviews in America, but British while in England (like Christian Bale).

Yeah, the Andrew Garfield movies weren't that well received so that was one of the factors which led to the deal to use the Spider-Man character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It was the only choice they had, really. Either make a third movie in a franchise nobody likes or reboot the character and have him team with the Avengers.
I like the new suit. I'm guessing the eyes work like a shutter on a camera. If you can find a close up image of them, they look mechanical, almost.

As an answer to your other question about non Americans playing American characters (though Superman is technically an alien but was raised in America, I suppose) I've wondered why that's the case. Maybe they're just the best actors available at that time. It works the other way too though. How many times have American actors played other nationalities. And not all of them have been good. I'm yet to hear an American do a good Irish accent, for example. Its always "top o the mornin to ye laddy, tis a fine day indeed."

I think there are far more Welsh, Irish, Scottish and English, Aussie and NZ actors playing American characters than the other way around.

And then there are those who are from other European or international countries that have lived in the USA for so long that you barely hear any trace of their country of origin, for example Charlize Theron.

What I liked about the Andrew Garfield Spiderman was the fact that it stayed true to the comic books.

Sam Raimi´s Spiderman was able to shoot webs from his wrist, which does not really make any sense but in the Garfield movie they were a gadget, just like in the comics.

This looks interesting, like an updated, technologically more advanced version of the costume, with those shutter-like eyes.

Yeah, I liked that element of the Garfield ones. I think the Sam Raimi version kept the biological web shooters from the proposed James Cameron film of the 90's.

One thing that bugged me about both versions of Spider-Man was that he was supposed to have made that suit himself. I don't know any 16 year old who'd be capable of doing that. I think Tony Stark gives him the suit in the new movie so at least there's an explanation how he gets it.

They're going complete old school with having his eyes being able to move. Just like the old 60's cartoon:

Yup, and they are explaining it by having them be mechanical adaptations built by Peter Parker (if you listen closely during the trailer, you can hear the mechanical whir as they move). Makes sense...as he's a science nerd AND a shutterbug. Adapting the workings of a camera lens for his eyes...it's actually a damned brilliant way of having the moving eyes within the MCU!

As much as I love Batman, Superman AND Wonder Woman...I'm really worried about this film. Just looks like it could be a massive disaster.

Wonder Woman's costume in this film is based on the classic Greek & Roman soldier outfit, which was partially the basis for her original look:

The 1970's look, with the "swim trunks", is what most people know because of the Lynda Carter TV show. It's iconic, but it isn't very cinematic (not to mention, it doesn't make her look warrior like).

Her comic costume in recent years is a return to the roots of the character. It is VERY similar to the one in the new film:
