Sweetners I know that artifical sweetners are frowned upon to a degree. But for those that have a sweet tooth but need to watch their glycemic levels as they get older (or even while young) it's an option. | |

Splenda would give me migraines and would also upset my stomach I use Stevia everyday on my coffee but only about a teaspoon and so far so good Rhythm floods my heart♥The melody it feeds my soul | |

i'm trying to cut down on sugar right now. i plan to buy some stevia next time i go shopping, see if it works for me . i generally use raw brown sugar. love brown sugar and molasses. once upon a time years ago i used to use aspartame-based artificial sweeteners, but most of them are bad for us too | |

The Monk Fruit sweetener is very sweet, very sugar like in texture it seems, no calories, no funny after taste. So far I don't seem to have had any ill effects just putting it in drinks. We'll see. | |

I´ve tried Stevia but it has such a licorice-like aftertaste that it ruins tea, and to some extent coffee for me. I try not to use any sweetener but it´s difficult. Or I compromise by using one teaspoon of sugar instead of two and then I add one sweetener ( usually saccharine based), and most of the time the real sugar in combination with the saccharine eliminates the aftertaste a bit. But I´m trying to get used to unsweetened coffee and tea these days.

I use regular sugar one spoon for coffee or tea. Honey is also good for tea. I read that Splenda, Equal and other sweeteners can cause serious health problems. Also, diet sodas are not better than regular soda because of the artificial sugar. | |

Well I have a sweet tooth, so it's find a healthy alternative or live off water, because everything else is just colored water, blech. [Edited 2/11/16 16:22pm] | |

There's a kilo of sugar somewhere in my cupboard that has just been sitting there for two years... I never use it. I've been drinking black coffee for ten years and I'm loving it. I admit that chewing on a piece of sugar cane tastes goood... But other than that, I have no need for sugar. | |
