The Blizzard of '16 thread I know there's countless others on the east coast dealing with this white blanket of snow and sleet. I'm in VA and its day #2 for me. I did make some chili yesterday and have been enjoying it, however, I'm starting to experience the beginning stages of cabin fever. Urghhhhh!!!!! Don't get me wrong, I've been able to play catch up on my DVR, check out some movies, do a little house cleaning and lounge around in my pajamas all day but I'm bored as fuck. Oh and the kicker is I went looking for my snow boots in my closets today for when I clean my car off tomorrow and guess what I realized...I threw my snow boots out last year b/c they were old and meant to buy some new ones. Only I FORGOT to buy new ones. I'm so pissed at myself and don't even know why I didn't think about it before now. Guess I'll be slipping and sliding with some old sneakers on. Not ideal, but what am I to do? URGH, I really hate winter. How are the rest of you handling the blizzard? I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I'm in NC and got 4.5 inches, at least half of which was sleet. I'm a little disappointed to be honest. I was hoping for more. I'll still be lucky to be able to get out of my neighborhood by tomorrow... no sign of a plow yet.

And no we definitely haven't seen any snow plows in my subdivision yet either. They normally come days late anyway but there's so much snow packed, I really don't think anyone can get out without them plowing the snow out first...even if you have a 4x4 or 4 wheel drive. I opened my front door this morning and got overwhelmed by all of the snow I need to shovel off my sidewalk and off my car. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

all we got was a saturday morning mixture of snow/rain..The Sun came out @ about 11am and it went away like it never happened...Other States got it bad...I watched CNN and People were stuck on The Kentucky expressway from Friday afternoon till Saturday.....People thought they could travel and in past years it was possible but this year the snow came down fast in most states and it was impossible to travel...

We got hit hard over the weekend. Dug my car out yesterday morning and many people (in my neighborhood) stayed home today. Schools are closed, transportation is behind and I'm glad I don't have to be out there in this mess. We were spoiled with the warm weather in Dec so Mother Nature got back at us. Good luck to anyone that has to commute. Be safe.

Saturday is when the blizzard began in New York. 27in. of snow. ❄ ⛄ The city was shut down. Buses stopped running at noon, the trains eventually. The mayor told everyone to stay home, stay off the road to avoid accidents, etc. I was home relaxing all weekend(which I always do regardless of the weather!). I was prepared for the snow storm. I did not think that it was going to be so bad. Lol. The meteorologists were on point!

The Meteorologists have been doing their thang lately...Back in October they Told South Carolina we'd see rain the likes we've never seen before.."Don't sleep in your house, sleep on the roof or in a Tree"....They were right...
