Both my grandmother died in their 90s, both were born in December. So...I don't know, maybe my family is just stubborn.

Natural light is more healthy. There is more in spring and summer. I keep looking at names, still going with my meme. Some others are just lucky.

Average high and low where I was born - Christchurch NZ, April 30, high 15 (59f) low 5c (41f), lowest winter average - 11c (52f) high and 2c (35f) low, highest summer 22c(72f) low 12c(53f).

But where I am now, average summer high 25c (77f) winter high 14c (57f) and lows summer 16c(61f) winter 46f (8c). My birthday average high 18.5c (65f) and low 12.1c (54f).

Almost sounds like the months of April, May and October to most Americans. But the myth comes from the pre modern (before 1850) era, when babies born at the cold time of theyear would often not last the winter and only if a child was born in late spring to summer (May to August) would be it old enough to be robust enough to survive the winter given the lack of proper heating and medical knowledge.

It also stems from the medieval late summer and autumn harvest estivals in which amongst the merrymaking, alot of sex happened which resulted in babies being born the following May to August (Harvests took place between August and November depending on location and crop). Typically St George Day November 24th or thereabouts was when all harvests had ended inside of Europe, Russia and America in Temperate and Boreal climates (Not tropics!!!) and this was the day many serfs, tenants and sharecroppers looked forward to downtime and non essential winter tasks like fencing and gathering firewood. It is also a time you could find a new landlord or baron if allowed and in the 19th and 20th century south many black and white sharecroppers would find a new situation and even if they didn't, they would collect their "furnish" for the next year and crop.
