Never heard of it. Looked it up on IMDb and they have a trailer, looks interesting. A fantasy world kind of thing.

I watched it today on Roku and was pleasantly surprised. There was a good balance between the plot and the action scenes. I expect that character development will continue to unfold. The cinematic look was a nice touch as KingBad suggested.

I thought I would be familiar with the characters but I don't recall any of them from The Gypsy Morph and the three other books I've read. Maybe these stories are further along in the series than I went?

This is an adaption of the second Shannara book ever written, The Elfstones of Shannara. The first book, The Sword of Shannara is too similar to Lord of the Rings.

Thanks, so the collection that I read is the Genesis Of Shannara.

Sword Of Shannara is from the original trilogy that was written many years before The Genesis collection.

The MTV adaptation seems pretty good so far.
