I am very happy that Sylvester Stallone won an award. He gave a heartfelt, touching speech. Hopefully he´ll win an Oscar, too. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

I like some of Quentin Tarantino´s movies but why does he always make an absolute ass of himself? His use of the term "ghetto" was very unnecessary in this context.

Yeah, I haven't seen Creed yet (it's not out here until this Friday) but I'm glad Stallone won. I've always liked his movies and the Rocky movies always make me cry... Looks like the future of the franchise is in good hands.

I genuinely think he should have won for best screenplay. I loved The Hateful Eight. But he always makes me cringe when I see him on TV.

I think he´s a great director (though I must admit I didn´t like Django and Inglorious Basterds). . Anyway, he should focus on directing and storytellling. Some of his interviews make me cringe. -

I liked Sly's speech becuz it was obvious he was caught up in the moment...But he did the UNFORGIVABLE in the Movie Industry...When you win a "supporting Actor Award" you gotta thank The Director (Ryan Coogler) & The Leading Actor (Michael B. Jordan)....He thanked everybody but them....That's a No-No...To his credit he thanked them via Twitter on Monday(too Late)....Sly will get nominated for an Oscar this morning and he'll be a LOCK to win it...I'm sure they will be the first ones he thanks when he's holding that golden Oscar next month...

He seemed genuinely surprised to have won so I don't think people should be so hard on him for not thanking the director. Like you say, he was caught up in the moment. Besides, I've seen a number of interviews with Stallone over the past few months where he was talking about the director as if he were a filmmaking God, so I don't think he's ungrateful. Just forgetful in his old age.

Absolutely! He even admitted this in an interview the next day, saying that he didn´t expect to win and was seriously fighting not to get too emotional, and how he completely forgot about them in the heat of the moment. This is what he posted on Twitter:
" " "Samuel Jackson is upset that I foolishly forgot to mention the brilliant Ryan Coogler and MB Jordan he is right I owe them everything" " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

I read in a magazine that interviewed him that he did in fact thank them after realizing he forgot them. They say he went on stage again during the commercial break, and as you said above, he also thanked them again on Twitter .
Samuel Jackson is upset that I foolishly forgot to mention the brilliant Ryan Coogler and MB Jordan he is right I owe them everything
- - . I think most folks are being way too hard on him. The man was genuinely surprised and touched and I think it really meant something to be nominated again after so many decades, and then when he reminisced about how Mr.Chartoff risked losing his house just to give Sly a shot and all, that´s soime really emotional story. He´s a Cancer, just like me. Perfectly normal to be a tad emotional and forget something or someone. Some people on the internet tried to turn this into something racial or political. Nothing could be further from the truth. He is such a humble man. God bless him.

Samuel L. Jackson Calls Out Sylvester Stallone for Golden Globes Snub to Michael B. Jordan & Ryan Cooglar...Stallone ApologizesPhoto Source: feelgrafix.com Sylvester Stallone may have forgotten to thank the writer/director and actor who made his Golden Globe award possible, but Twitter didn’t. Sylvester Stallone was astonished to receive the award for best supporting actor in Creed, the 7th installment of the Rocky series. It was his first Golden Globe despite having played Rocky Balboa 6 other times. Photo source: www.philly.com He thanked the usuals, including a heartwarming shout-out to his wife and then held up his award to his greatest imaginary friend, Rocky Balboa. Then he left the stage without mentioning Creed’s writer/director Ryan Coogler or lead actor, Michael B. Jordan. Samuel L. Jackson and Ava Duvernay noticed it immediately and called out the actor via Twitter. This set off a Twitter fire-storm with others calling out Stallone/Rocky Balboa for not mentioning two of the biggest factors in his win. It was later reported that he actually came back on stage to thank Coogler and Jordan, but cameras had cut away by then. This morning, Stallone went on Twitter to make a more formal apology. Twitter keeps folks in check! This post was originally published on Switch Media and has been edited for Team DL.
Even though I don't care much for Sam due to personal reasons. He is on point with this. [Edited 1/14/16 9:50am] will ALWAYS think of like a "ACT OF GOD"! I like Samuel Jackson but I think this was very unnecessary and disrespectful. Sly still remained friendly and humble though. And since when does Ryan Coogler act? He directed the movie and is a huge Rocky fan, just like his dad, and I think it´s an honor for him to have worked with Stallone and to take over that franchise from him. The movie is great, Ryan Coogler is great and came up with a good story and directed very well, and Michael B.Jordan did a great job, too, and they all have been nothing but nice to each other, so for others to tell Sly how and what he should do is not really nice. Sly was obviously touched, nervous and very emotional on stage, and like you said, he went back on stage to thank Ryan and Michael, so no big deal.

But word is Sly isn't using Ryan for the sequel to "Creed" which is VERY telling to me. Michael & Ryan should have been the first words out of his mouth. will ALWAYS think of like a "ACT OF GOD"! That's not Stallone's decision though. Ryan Coogler is going to be directing the Black Panther movie for Marvel so if another Rocky/Creed movie is to be made, Coogler just won't be available. I'm sure they'll get the same actor to play Adonis Creed though. He was brilliant.

Oh, really? It had extremely positive ratings the last time I looked, 95 %. That´s quite a lot for that kind of movie ( sequel/reboot, franchise, black actors, black director, has the often ridiculed Stallone in it, is theoretically part 7 of a series, is an emotional tearjerker, etc. etc..... so 95% is quite high). But I will look it up and see what the current ratings are. I still think it´s a great movie but I can perfectly understand why some people would not feel that way at all.
