i thought prince was great in that movie and i totally dug the songs, like the way he sings and plays tea for the tillerman on his guitar. i think he's changed his look a lot since then though. sure wasn't wearing a 'fro back then, but i like his look now best. it suits him well. i bet a lot of people would say that maybe audrey hepburn would have been a better choice for the female role than ruth gordon but i think the casting was perfect.
