OH NO!. ‪#‎RIP‬ David Canary. You brought me many years of entertainment as ‪#‎AdamChandler‬ and ‪#‎StewartChandler‬. You were definitely one of the best actors to ever grace the daytime screen.

He didn't play Palmer Cortlandt, he portrayed the twins Adam and Stewart.

James Mitchell played Palmer Cortlandt.

I was a die hard All My Children fan.

He was freaking AWESOME as Adam and Stuart! It was hard to believe there wasn't really two people their parts. Rest well, Mr. Canary.

Never really followed All My Children but always like him, great actor. R.I.P

He played Candy Canaday on Bonanza too.

He was a very versatile actor. Peace to his soul and condolences to his loved ones.

If it hadn't been for him ( Mr. Canary), I would have walked away from "All My Kids" a couple year earlier. RIP

I'll never forget when that motherfucker put a teddy bear in the bathtub, to make Dixie think she was having murderous thoughts towards their newborn baby...oh, he was evil! Lots of fond memories, watching AMC with my mom (she recorded it DAILY on an old Betamax VCR, well into the 90s!). My homeboys laughed at me, but I had no shame in letting fools know that AMC was the bomb! RIP Mr. Chandler...you evil motherfucker!

My fav moment was when Adam was pretending to be Stuart pretending to be Adam.

Erica caught him in a lie and he preceded to switch back and forth between Adam and Stuart at the same time. Erica was so confused she ran out the room. That was some of the best acting I've ever seen on a soap.

LOL! I remember that and I absolutely agree with you. That was some truly impressive work. What I've come to know, reading the tributes by his former AMC co-stars is that it was more of his real nature that he put into Stuart and Adam was a total act. As endearing as Stuart always was to me, I could totally see how that's true.

LOL...I forgot about that one,

Back in the olden days we had 2 shifts at school and I took the early classes so I could be home in time to watch AMC. The Betamax wasn't even invented yet!

He kept the show interesting, that's for sure.

Now this is definitely sad news..My family LOVES Westerns & Soaps so I grew up watching the old episodes of Bonanza and David was good on there...David became an ICON as All My Children Ruthless "Adam/Stuart Chandler"...As the saying goes, The Young & The Restless has Victor Newman and All My Children had the Powerful Adam Chandler...David had an amazing range that placed him in a category all by himself..Fans adored him in the dual role & his peers awarded him with 5 Emmys in the Best Actor category...Daytime is slowly fading away and David Canary was the last of the Daytime Drama GIANTS...

I couldn't stand Adam Chandler's daughter Skye either. Setting fire to Cindy & Scott's house was whack.
