I know this is kind of a silly thread to start. But last night someone called my house phone in TX at 2 AM. They had their number blocked and my mom answered the phone. They asked me for me and she said that they had the wrong number... then they kept calling back until she unplugged the phone.

Now i have lived in LA for 5 and a half years now lol. And no ones called me on my home phone in like 4 or 5 years probably. It's obviously not a debt collector or some shit that would be calling at 2 AM haha. Has anyone ever had a weird ass call like this at 2 AM? or it was to your families home? I'm thinking it was some old asshole i know being well... an asshole. Or someone from high school looking at old numbers and calling them to prank them or be weird idk. The situation just makes me mad cause my family doesn't need to be called repeatedly at fucking 2 AM in the morning.

What do y'all think? and does anyone have similar stories?

When I was in my late teens (or early 20s?) a bunch of Nazi skinheads called my parents at 3 a.m, telling them that they wanted to kill me.

But they didn´t.

They had a good reason though because we had raided their favorite club and had gotten into fights with them previously.

She didn't ask who was calling. All they said was that they wanted to talk to me. When she said wrong number they were like ''ahh come on let me talk to him'' then he kept calling my house till she had to unplug the phone. That's not cool my mom and fam shouldn't be bothered like that.

Lol it's funny you mention that. Some guys from the Aryan brotherhood used to live in my neighborhood back home. And the SWAT team was in the middle of our street one day. And raided their house cause one was wanted for murder.

Yeah, that makes sense. She couldn't really ask "Who's calling?" after telling them it was the wrong number!

If they never called you on your cell phone, then that means they don't have that number. Which means it's someone you aren't close with, or haven't seen in a long time.

I've had a "weird-ass" call like that once. Someone with the same name as mine stiffed a crack dealer out of $300. The guy found my name and landline number online and called my home, threatening to kill me. This went on all night, until we finally convinced him I was not a young, small gay guy. but rather an old, big married guy.

Geesh! i wondered if maybe they thought i was someone else cause as state they must not have my cell if they're calling my house phone. Glad that the crackhead left you alone

I thought about doing that! ugh... i hate when they do private on my cell phone i can just turn it off or have the volume low (and can luckily block people when they don't private it) but on a regular house phone you gotta hear it loud and clear

Actually it's a simple fix...Just set up a privacy-block with your home phone just like you would with your cell phone..Blocked numbers won't bother your folks ever again...

I used to have a little book that I kept all my phone numbers in and many a time after drinking and getting horny, I used to go in the book and start calling some of the numbers trying to get lucky. As for years going by, that doesn't mean anything, especially if you haven't kept up with the people and the only purpose those served for you was a dick for the night anyway. Hell, that damn book stayed in my drawer and years later, I came across it one night and started calling numbers. Most of them were no longer the same numbers and belonged to someone else, but it doesn't hurt to try. That one number that might still be the same could be your chance for getting lucky for about 20 minutes.
