Which is kinda why I posted this thread! She can have my pad and it is very nice too! 
I have been thinking about it for about 2 years now and am convinced I would have a better life and it would be a great step for my career, however I would only stay out there for about 18 months - 2 years! LaVisHh! Wanna trade??? | |

If you don't know what that is, you clearly aren't thinking THAT hard about moving to the states  I have not actioned anything yet but if my company can send me over there to work from their US office they will take care of those things...It will not be for about 6/8 months yet though and in that time I will get all my information, but thanx for the advice Ian, that is why I asked for such advice on this thread.

My advice would be to avoid going over on a H1B visa (I know some guys who had a really hard time in their jobs over there, but they couldn't leave for 2 years obviously) and instead trying to get a green card through other means. Of course, if you are just going on business for a couple of months that's a different matter entirely, I used to do the London-SanFran route all the time with a previous job. | |
