LMAO... that competition was ridiculous! During the part where all the girls were sitting in the Alamo talking about which law they would pass as Miss America (don't ask!), one woman (Alabama or Georgia I think) said "I would really like to see a woman president." And that was all!
What a dumbass! I was personally rooting for Alaska (she was pretty), California (my home state ), or Hawaii (half Japanese I suspect!) I'm glad that Texas didn't win. She was a dumbass too. She shoulda been shot on sight. I mean, like, where is the sun?

I don't watch that type of thing, but I'm thinking it would be great if the roof of that building just collapsed on them and killed them all. This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes.

None of them deserved to live. I was sad to see Mikhai Pfiffer (or however the hell you spell it) as a judge.
When I come home for break, I load up on as much television as humanly possible to tide me over the quarter, since we only get one channel at school. I mean, like, where is the sun?

I bet the contestants are glad the competition was moved from Gary to Texas. I never knew why and how Gary won the site. There's nothing to do in Gary. The contestants didn't even stay there.

She shoulda been shot on sight. Contestants for Miss U.S.A., Miss America, Miss Universe, or any beauty pageant for that matter should NOT be asked political questions at all. I hate it when they try to mask these things as something that they are not. They try to present these women as well-rounded with beauty, brains, AND talent. And I'm sure a some of these women probably are really smart, and have degrees (a whiz in math and all that shit) but we all know what it comes down to in the end. It's about the tits and ass! It's a beauty pageant. I don't need to hear any of their opinions on how to bring about world peace, etc. It should be presented for what it is: a contest to find the most "beautiful" woman (of those who would actually enter such a thing) in the pageant. Hell, I love watching these things myself. And I do my own scoring and predicting, but the moment they start asking them questions, I just flip the channel. I just like to watch it for the cheesiness that it is. "I saw a woman with major Hammer pants on the subway a few weeks ago and totally thought of you." - sextonseven

Relax people. It's a stupid little competition for pretty women. There's freakin' award shows for everything now, I don't know why it's such a big deal!
At least they do "some" good once they win. If they put a smile on one child's face it's worth it, right? Right

Isn't Donald Trump somehow involved with it? He has a casino in Gary. I believe the city also tried very hard to land Miss USA because they were desperate for anything to improve the city's image. Please note: effective March 21, 2010, I've stepped down from my prince.org Moderator position. |

Yes I think he is involved, he was shown at the pageant and one of the prize packages was staying at one of his hotels

That is way too harsh a judgement. You have something against pretty girls? CarrieLee said: MASSACHUSETTS!!!

That is way too harsh a judgement. You have something against pretty girls? Nope, I was half-joking in response to Supernova's comment. I have nothing against pretty girls - but if you caught the show, I would only call a handful of them beautiful, a handful more even pretty. Some of them were not good-looking at all - sure they had beautiful bodies (did anyone else catch the amount of fake boobs?), but their faces... Okay now THAT'S being harsh. But I believe if you are going into a competition that is essentially TMBGIA as july stated, you are putting yourself out there for criticism by the American public. Pretty isn't even the issue anymore. Those girls were STUPID. Idiotic, vapid, worthless. I mean, like, where is the sun?

I think those boobs were real Natsume! Miss Alabama had mammoth boobies!!! That's what I thought, too! But their boobs could NOT have been real. In their evening gowns and swimsuits, they were way too round and fakey. I have a good eye for fake breasts. I'm wondering if they cheated. I mean, like, where is the sun?
