Do you guys pay attention to fan reaction after big episodes like this? Are you sitting there reading the comments section and cackling maniacally to yourselves?

.

Everybody’s just been happy, I’ve been getting a lot of emails and messages, people telling me how thankful they are… [Laughs.] Yeah, no, I’m not the most beloved person when I’m walking out right now, but in a weird way, when people tell me they hate me for what happened last night, I take it as a compliment because it shows that they care, because I made a lot of other things that nobody talks to me about at all, so it’s nice when somebody cares.

.

We love our fans — the main thing is, we don’t listen to everything they tell us. We think that giving everybody what they want all the time isn’t the way to actually give them what they want. I have two children and if I loved them, they would eat cookies for breakfast and cookies for lunch and cookies for dinner, and that wouldn’t actually be what they’d want, because they would get stomach aches. You watch “The Walking Dead” because people you love die … whether you admit it, that is part of the reason you watch the show, so if we stopped killing characters you loved, you wouldn’t like the show anymore! So we embrace the outrage and the hostility as just another expression of love.

So is he admitting that Glenn is dead?

i don't know if he's admitting that. i can't even tell for sure myself if glenn is dead? personally, i think so. but i keep going back and forth

.

all we really know for sure is that 1) glenn was not listed as being deceased on The Talking Dead's memoriam; and 2) the writers are demented weasels who enjoy making fans weep talented people with a lot of nifty plot twists and turns up their sleeves

Wow, what an episode! One of the best yet.

I get that people are upset Glenn is gone, but its fairly obvious he's dead. If you've seen enough zombie movies you know what that scene of him lying on the ground means...a Glenn all you can eat buffet!

If they pull a bait-and-switch and show him somehow escaping its going to cr*p all over the tension of the show, essentially telling the viewer you can fall into a pit of walkers and still come out unharmed. I hope he doesn't pop up at the end of the season all like "Surprise!". Might as well have him waking up in the shower with the whole thing being a dream...

I agree.

As much as I like Glenn, it would be cheap as hell if he got away. Entire settlements of people dying, but somehow this guy escapes from being literally buried beneath a flood of zombies... because we like him, I guess. rolleyes Ridiculous! I'd honestly lose some respect for that storytelling.

Gimple says we'll see Glenn again, but I don't think he'll be alive and in one piece.

With you there for sure! The more I think about it though, the more I think they are going to bring him back (even though it doesn't make sense). I can't think of another reason why they would leave his death ambiguous...if they were going to kill him, there's no reason not to show it in all its gory glory, other than to leave it open for a return.

That being the case, I hope they leave it a looooooong time...late in the next series at the very earliest. Have him disappear and come back as a total zombie killing badass, long hair, fu-manchu goatee, and he rescues the group from some super tight spot.

Keep your eyes on that little opening just beside what looks like a leg swing back and forth.

Looks like the fence is still standing, so the dumpster was scooted.

I've been catching up on the TPB's while watching seasong 6 on AMC for the first time (all previous seasons were Netflix binges).

I happened to read the comic's take on Glenn's exit friday. It disturbed me the whole weekend. Yeah, I get that no one is safe in the Walking Dead universe...but Kirkman set up a grusome, violent, emotional scene. The imagery of a couple of those panels were etched in my brain. When I watched episode 3, I was sort of relieved.

I think that was the emotion I was supposed to have. I suspect that having gone through all this stress, Glenn will survive the dumpster only to be killed in a scene consistent with the comic...it just seems like the frustrating, teasing thing to do.

The last time I saw people speculate this much over a show and a character's exit was when "The Sopranos" series finale aired. I think folks to this very day still argue over whether Tony Soprano was killed or not at the end when the screen went black. lol

There's walkers over there too. It's an impossible scenario. They have to be completely devoured. Or a flipping miracle happens. I'm banking on TV show Glenn.

I understood you. But if I remember correctly they went out of their way to show there were walkers on all sides even on the green side. A completely impossible situation. Way over the top impossible. Unnecessary impossible. The alley is swarmed with walkers. No way there'd be anything left to show later on down the line if the walkers do munch on him.

Part 1 shutdown. Anyway... I like Morgan but 90 minutes worth of back story. Can we just get the bullet points? [img:$uid]http://i267.pho.../img:$uid] Fans have been long anticipating a flashback episode centered on Morgan, explaining where the character has been over the past few seasons and how he developed his impressive bo-staff skills. It now appears that episode will be 90 minutes long, according to actor Lennie James' recent interview with HeyUGuys.com. "It's almost like a standalone film, and I believe it's going to be shown as a 90-minute special," James told the site. "It's going to be an intense ride. It's very much going to be in keeping with the mythology of 'The Walking Dead.' But is a very different kind of episode. Hopefully it's one that the fans will like." Internet blogs have suggested that episode isn't far off and will, in fact, be episode 4 of Season 6, which airs next Sunday, Nov. 1. The episode is titled "Here's Not Here" with a vague synopsis: "A new face appears; trust issues form." Based on the synopsis, some have speculated the episode will feature the introduction of Paul "Jesus" Monroe or Negan. But it's now clear the episode will be all about Morgan. [SOURCE]

Yes I hope it doesn't only focus on Morgan, and yes it also needs to show what happened to Glenn

Though I am dying to know how Morgan got to where he is now. To leave us hanging, with a hoard of walkers bearing down on a beaten Alexandria, Rick in possible peril, did the group lead most of the walkers to walker heaven? Glen we don't know what, unless he's on this Sunday's TTD, then we'll have our answer. I'm wondering if this turns out to be 90 minute of I don't care. Which is terrible. But why the extra half hour for one storyline? We just had a 90 minute premiere 3 episodes ago. And they skipped a lot of what we were actually waiting for then. Next there'll be a 2week break before we know what happens to everybody.

I don't want Morgan on the show if all he does is gives us that disapproval look if you have to kill a human. Really that guy Cater gets bit on the face (you get bit, you die, no exception) then Rick is force to kill him because he's making to much noise from the pain. Then Morgan is right there to give his "disapproval" look.
