  1. A fumble that goes forward and out of bounds will return to the fumbling team at the spot of the fumble unless the ball goes out of bounds in the opponent’s end zone. In this case, it is a touchback.

I'm not sure if you were actually arguing that in all cases, the ball should return to the spot of the fumble. There's plenty grist for the mill if you want to argue KJ intent in 'batting' the ball.

It was a call in Seattle's favor, maybe that could make up for their first Superbowl appearance worst calls ever.

Well, it was a missed foul call in Seattle's favor. Sad thing is, there was no one near KJ and there was no need to touch the ball. Now, let's put this behind us and pay Bam. smile

Actually he should have picked the ball up. It was a live ball and could have been recovered by Detriot for a TD.

Well, the wheels have fallen off for the Detroit Lions. I witnessed players give up today, golden Tate in particular. He had that blank look on his face. He fumbled on the next drive. Coaches have no clue how to use their biggest offensive weapons, Calvin and Ameer.
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

I hope they don't figure it out before this Sunday's game.

Sucks that the Steelers won't have Ben, Bryant, Shazier, Pouncey and Suisham in the game

I usually don't root for either when they play each other but I'm glad the Ravens lost. Their fans were getting a little cocky after the steelers gift to them. That loss at home to the Browns have humbled them.
Never thought I'd see the day when the McCown brothers would look like starting
NFL quarterbacks

That's why Tomlin went for the win. Can't take your chances with Vick in OT.

NFL: There was clock error at end of Chargers game

The Steelers scored the game-winning touchdown as time expired on Monday night against the Chargers. The NFL acknowledged Tuesday that game officials failed to correct a significant clock error that preceded Pittsburgh's final march.

NFL spokesman Michael Signora delivered an explanation from the league to NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport. The statement, in full:

"With 2:56 remaining in the fourth quarter, San Diego kicked off to Pittsburgh. The kick resulted in a touchback. By rule, the game clock does not start if the receiving team possesses the ball in the end zone and does not carry it into the field of play.

Every game, all season

"Because of an error by the clock operator, the game clock was incorrectly started before the Steelers' first play from scrimmage following the touchback. That first down snap came with 2:38 left to play instead of 2:56, a difference of 18 seconds.

"The official game time is kept on the stadium scoreboard, but it is the responsibility of the side judge to supervise the timing of the game. Had the side judge or any of the other six on-field officials noticed the timing error, they could have corrected it.

"The game clock is not subject to instant replay review unless there is a timing issue on the last play of the first half or the last play of the game. The performance of the clock operator and game officials will be reviewed per the standard procedure for reviewing every play of every game."

NFL clock operators are hired by the league and usually have college football officiating experience. Clock operators typically live in close geographic proximity to the stadium where they are working, though the league uses operators from outside the region of the home team's stadium during the postseason.

The Steelers, and specifically Le'Veon Bell, saved the NFL from a splitting headache by inching past the goal line on the game's final play. Don't be surprised if the circumstances of Monday night come up when the league's competition committee reconvenes in a few months.

^^^^^^^^

Wonder if that was a charger fan????????

What is going on with the ref's these days?

True, but when your are on the inch line it's hard not to go for the win even with only 5 seconds left on the clock (though it should have been 23 seconds).

Thats true, Vick got lucky, could have easily threw 3 interceptions in that game. Though I do think Vick beat the Steelers when he was with the Jets disbelief But you know if Ben was in the game Steelers would have scored 40+ points against the Chargers

I think Gradowski is better. Definitely a better pocket passer than Vick.

I didn't ever wanna see either on the field though.

Steelers have a tough match up tomorrow vs Cardinals. Mike Vick can't
throw lazy passes against this secondary.

Right now Steelers are giving Arizona great field postion. Once again Vick looks scared. Vick almost threw an interception and I'm surprised Vick didn't get sacked for a safety.

Bad call going for a 2 point conversion. You don't do that with QB Jones first series ever. I could understand if Steelers still had Josh Scobee as the kicker.
