NFL Recap Thread | Week 1

(starting a new thread)

Quick Thoughts:

- Both Super Bowl participants picked up where they left off. Good thing for the Pats, bad thing for the Seahawks.

- The NFC West looks like it will be very competitive. If the Rams can continue to score at a good clip, they're a dark horse for the whole thing. The Niners looked okay too.

- Break up the Bills?

- Mariota had a stellar debut, let's see what he does as the looong season progresses.

Your thoughts?

I'm really, really, REALLY glad I sold my Texans PSLs at the height of the market.

They are destined to be a team that wins 7 - 9 games every year, thus placing them at a point in the draft where they will usually get a decent player, but are almost never going to get a franchise player.

It is extremely hard to find a franchise QB, and even high picks are 50-50 regardless of position.

It is always hard 2 gauge theNFL after the 1st week.

All that I know 4 sure is that my team problably won't be doing much this year. neutral

Agreed.

But Week 2 is a pivotal week for those teams at 0-1. Teams falling in an 0-2 hole mostly fail to make deep runs in the playoffs, let alone get in or win a Super Bowl.

And don't worry, my team, like yours, will be looking at yet another high draft pick this year. Washington will finish with no more than 6 wins, and that's being generous.

I was really impressed with my team (49ers) the other night thumbs up! Losing Frank Gore was a huge blow for us,but it looks Carlos Hyde is an amazing replacement.I'm not worried anymore smile
