The beach shots are stunning. Are they filtered or non?

Would love to get a camera even though I love photography. But given the fact that I'm one lazy bastard, uploading pics to my IG from my phone is enough for the time being

I've found that I really enjoy it! I had always wanted to try it, and since life has taken a new twist, I thought, "why not?"

I'm a big fan of VSCOcam. Unlike other filters, this app is more subtle. And it really compliments camera photography, not just smartphones.

I've never heard of it ...

I like them all, especially the butterfly on the flower pic.

THANK YOU! I have other pictures of butterflies...one that has a butterfly and bee on the same flower, another with 2 bees on the same flower...the garden photos were my first attempts

I actually had someone offer to buy a print of one of my other butterfly shots on FB which really surprised me. I am just getting into this as a new hobby and since the garden were the first set of pics I had shot, I felt like I was still learning and just experimenting with the ISO, aperture, and shutter. There were a lot that I got that were really weird because of the different settings, but when I would find the right settings (and lens to use) ... but just never thought they were really *that* good. So I thought it would be nice to get outside opinions because of family and friends, "Yeah, those are great! You have a great eye! You know exactly when to take the shot!" But they are supposed to like it. lol

Myrtle Beach. I had to go to a two day workshop, and we got out early on Friday, so I went to the beach and walked around taking pics. The waves were wild that day because of the hurricane further south.

Thank you! No, I didn't use a tripod. The one I have (that came with it), just doesn't seem very sturdy. I'm loving the camera, though. Really enjoying taking unusual pictures when I can.

Thank you! Regarding Instagram, I've started a page, but find it a hassle, because I can only post pictures through my phone. Also, the pictures have to be cropped.
