I'm not really into comedians. So, I only know the mainstream ones.

I like Amy Schumer and Louie, they have their own tv shows, so I know them.

And the last live show I went to, was Russel Brand. I Really loved his show.

Number 1 for me has to be Richard Pryor. Not just for what he said but in how he said it. Genius.

The ones that stand out in my mind are Bernie Mac, (young) Eddie Murphy, George Carlin and Rodney Dangerfield, who I'm shocked hasn't been mentioned more on this thread. All these years and still no respect. wink

Patrice O'Neal was very funny. I also enjoy Pryor, Rock, Murphy, and Earthquake. Louis CK is
pretty cool too.

I buy into the sexist idea that chicks aren't funny....cos it's true.

I think that Sinbad, in the past, has been terribly underrated. He killed in that HBO special "Son of a Preacher Man." I thought he was pretty funny in Houseguest, too, despite the fact that the movie itself was just okay. I thought he more that held his own with Phil Hartman, who is also hilarious; his (Hartman's) portrayal of Bill McNeal on NewsRadio, in my opinion, was one of the best TV characters ever.

Paul Mooney hands down is #1 for me.

The rest are in no particular order:

Martin Lawrence

Eddie Murphy

Katt Williams

Mo'Nique

Bernie Mac

Tony Rock

Chris Rock

Eddie Griffin

Mike Epps

Dave Chappelle

Richard Pryor

Patrice O'Neal

I would like to posthumously add Phil Hartman, Jerry Lewis (specifically during the Martin and Lewis years) and Kevin Hart to my list.
