i got these folks i had been givin money to when i could... they are always at the wallmart spare changin. a man a woman and a small child... they sit at the end of the drive and accept money from those that can give... it was all good 'til i saw their late model suv with chromed out 22s on it. AND THAT'S WHEN I NOTICED... just about every one of the people i had been givin money to had way better cars than mine and AND they work in shifts and watch one another's cars when it's their off time. once upon a time i would have taxed them for the insult (which is a lucritive bizzness in big cities... i am KING BAD!!!

wow.
Reading KindBAD post...
About 30 years ago my late father and I were waling to a book reading on the North Side of Chicago. Out the corner of my eye, I could see and hear a man with Texas accent wearing cowboy boots panhandling. A decade later my mother and I were ( again the North Side) walking to a Cubs playoff game. I hear a Texas accent ...I'm thinking. I've heard this accent before. Yep, the same man in the same get-up a little older but panhandling, that was his job.

Yeah I've had experiences more with people who come up and gave me a story why they needed money, then to have that same person come up to me again a ways down the line with the exact same story It was funny to see when people gave him money, but when he had his "daughter" the only person to give him money was a homeless woman. It was sweet he gave her the money back plus $100, since he wasn't homeless but was just running an experiment.

Interesting social experiment. By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory!

by makin it an experiment it soes more damage than anything else... AGAIN, its not the givin of the money, its the insult of bein played. there are people out there that can REALLY use help... SO... you get some people out there that do these things to surprise people with a payoff for their generosity... now more people become marks to folks with no need. i'll still give to folks i see doin stuff like recyclin i am KING BAD!!!

Both PJ and KB make some valid points. I think people have become more cynical when seeing someone with a homeless child, to many factors could be wrong.

the embolded words, i agree. a pet peeve from my pov: is a well off folk going out to experiment and experience what it is like to be homeless. then at the end of their alloted time they go back to their furnished dwelling, take a shower, glance over his/her notes, call a compadre to discuss the experimental scenario. then post it. for what prosterity? (unless there is some sort of benevolent propose for the scam of pretending to be poor, i say gtf outta heah) i mean to play 'man in the poverty mask', then return to a well off reality doth not a poor man/woman need. “Transracial is a term that has long since been defined as the adoption of a child that is of a different race than the adoptive parents,” : https://thinkprogress.org...fb6e18544a
