He sold his business, bought a Lamborghini and fixed it up like a Batmobile, then went all over visiting sick kids while dressed as Batman. He even started an organization called Superheroes for Kids that organized visits for ill children. Batman, or Lenny Robinson, was truly a good guy.
Anyone could book him - for free. Here's more about him. BTW, he also had one of those replica 1960's Batmobiles:
Lenny B. Robinson, Batman, has been visiting sick children in hospitals in the Baltimore area monthly since 2001, and has now ventured out nationally, and soon internationally, to bring his superhero to thousands of sick children in hospitals around the globe. He also visits schools to talk about bullying and will soon add senior centers to the roster. Trading in his Lamborghini for a custom-made Batmobile, that debuting in Coeur d’Alene Idaho on the 4th of July 2012, Lenny travels around the country giving out Batman toys and goodies to hundreds of kids in children’s hospitals along the route. Lenny launched his foundation in July 2012, and plans to visit over 25 hospitals in the 2013.
His car was struck by another car on a highway, and the collision killed him. Very sad.
