Househusband?

do they even exist? is it a myth? I'm talking about a married man-husband that takes care of the house-kids 24/7, with a part-time job (to make sure all bills are covered?) or no job at all, with the WIFE as the main(sole?) provider of the family

reversed traditional roles; reality or myth; is it happening? or will it ever happen?

Can´t believe you ask that question in 2015.

Of course there are, lots of them.

don't know about the 'husband' part, but we (those who have done so) been the keepers of the house/house keepers for generations... there's no reason to believe that there will come a time when they don't exisit... biggrin

They absolutely exist. A friend of mine does exactly this. No (paying) job whatsoever, in fact. He takes care of the kids and house, his wife brings home the paycheck.

This isn't unusual at all anymore.

My best friend was doing this since 1999. Two of those kids are adults now (one out of college). But there's still two more.

Of course they exist. I found myself out of work and in that role when my daughter was between the ages of 1 and 2. It could become boring not having an adult to talk to throughout the day, but it was an amazing opportunity to bond with my daughter. And I'm by far the better housekeeper as compared to my wife.
