Congratulations: This upcoming "movie" could be the VERY WORST high-budget american movie of all time The braindead stupidity of the post 20th-century world offers you: PIXELS
it still floors me Adam Sandler is allowed to get near a studio, oh well

As much as I can´t stand his movies, Sandler must be doing something right because everybody seems to hate him yet his movies are very successful (or aren´t they?). Saw the trailer when I went to see Fury Road, and it left me uninterested and shaking my head in disbelief. The premise of the movie sounds interesting though. At least on paper. I think they stole this idea from a Simpsons episode. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

The last Sandler movie I went to see was Mr. Deeds. Even Middle America knows not to spend money on tickets for his films now. That's why he's got a 4 picture deal with Netflix, they'll take anything.

I agree with PurpleJedi. The ol' skool crew who were at the arcades and playing Intellevison and Atari 2600 (until the consoles were hot enough to fry eggs) will dig it.

I guess Pac-Man and Donkey Kong are THAAAAAAAAT iconic, even with younger audiences
the movie will still STINK nonetheless

My first thought was Tomorrowland... i hear that horrible.
Pixels looks okay... not meant to be serious. And Adam Sandler may not be the most divers actor (But hey neither is Denzel) in terms of range (many his characters seem to be the same person) but most of his movies are good. Many of them have a good message about family.
but there is a point to be made: these studios can not keep making $100+ movies and not expect a large number of them to lose money.

Isn't it a kids movie, like 12+? Younger generations know all about old school games and their characters.

Lately it seems that Adam Sandler movies are marketed as comedies but turn out to be something very different. The worst example is "Click". They sold that movie in previews as a comedy but it was one of the most depressing movies I've seen. Same with "Spanglish". Advertised as funny, but not a joke to be found.

maybe because some kids movies are just really good: the Despicable Me movies, most of what Pixar has done, big hero 6... kids movies that are just really good movies. So maybe people are spoiled?

So have been spoiled! I have no fear saying i nearly cried at Big Hero Six! Yeah I am sure kids love bad movies... i have tried to go back and watch some old movies i loved and they are so bad! But not campy bad just bad!
My dad always says that music and movies were so much better in his day! And I say "no you just remember the best ones and the best ones keep getting shown." Same thing now... the best movies and music will still be good in 40 years... "Keep on shilling for Big Pharm!"

On the rare occasion we go to the movies, sometimes we still go see fluff just because we actually don't want to be drown by a harrowing emotional vibe. Music today seems to be made like this too.

He made so many box office hits though (not critical ones).

Grown ups 2 is on my worst movies ever list

I've laughed during every one of his movies (I skipped his "serious" fare); it's mindless entertainment and seeing as the theater near my house shows all flicks for $5.50, "Pixels" is on my summer list. Make it so, Number One...
