It did little justice to his supremely and infinitely "Superior" intellect!!!

Horribly innacurate, but it was a good film, nontheless. Accuracy and art are not the same thing (and the point of the film wasn't to tell an accurate tale. It was a fictionalised account).

Uh? Since when the fuck did any movie about a historical figure ever stick to the facts? Movies are about entertainment and art - not a history lesson! I don't give a monkeys that David Lean's 'Lawrence Of Arabia' has very little to do with T.E.Lawrence's own account, it's a great movie.

How good would an accurate movie of De Sade be? I don't want to watch a fat little man rot away in prison - give me Kate Winslet tarting it up anyday.

Only a proper dingbat would believe what they saw in a movie anyway. Look at Shakespeare, his 'Richard III' is balls when it comes to historical accuracy, but who gives a shit? It rocks (in the right hands).

Sounds good! I'd like to see a film called 'Lord Of The Pies' in which a really tubby George Dubyah Bush starts crying because he dropped his chocalate ice cream on the pavement. He then gets really upset when a mongrel runs off with the cone and he's too fat to chase it. It ends with him sitting down on the sidewalk, scooping the remaining ice cream up with his hands and eating it, getting it all round the sides of his mouth.

I think I'd better get on the phone to Harvey Winestain at McMiramax. I think he'd make a brilliant lead - in khaki shorts and a disney world t-shirt.

I, too, enjoyed Quills despite it's inaccuracy. Ah well.
