I know a parent has to teach their children right from wrong, but look... If your Parents doesn't let you hang out, have any boyfriends until you 18 and not even let you go to the senior prom, that's damn shame...

i agree. my mother was very over protective.(no sleepovers, no going to other friend's houses, no dating) i think if she had loosened the strings i would have been better off.

but, then again. the parent's are trying to do what's best for you. it is their job to make sure you get to age 18 alive and well.

my dad wuz the main one who raised me (my mom passed away when i wuz 7), and he wasn't really over-protective with me. i always had my head screwed on straight as far as my social life (i've never wanted 2 go on any dates, never did drugs, etc.)...the only clashes we ever had were over me bein so bull-headed...me and my father share that same trait lol

my father wuz reasonably strict, but not over-protective by any means. nod

*I'm 14, and I like to have my freedom..But when I lie to my rent's and say I'm sleeping at a friend's house..When really, I'm going to go get wasted at some party, they should be a little more protective...At least call the house to see if I'm there or something. Getting away with stuff is way too easy for me..But I guess it's a good thing.*
