Newsflash! Reality TV Is Fake! In a few days on March 14, it’ll be four years since Love & Hip Hop first aired on VH1. Fans have loved the show for its reality and drama-filled story lines. Some have even accused the show’s creators — like Mona Scott-Young — of promoting a script rather than real deal occurrences during all of the seasons, including Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta. Now those beliefs have been confirmed by cast member Joseline Hernandez, who starred on the Atlanta season. According to TMZ, she admits that she plays a character on the show, rather than staying true to herself. She even exposes other women on the show. Hernandez was testifying at a hearing disposition because she is being sued by former cast mate Althea Eaton for allegedly beating her up during a reunion show. “With reality TV, it’s called reality, but it’s a lot of acting,” she explained. “And I say that because a lot of the girls that are on the show, they act. And so there’s a lot of acting in the reality TV show, whether its Love & Hip Hop or another show.” The rapper and former exotic dancer also said that she plays a character, even though there are small parts of herself being shown. “The reality TV show showcases a lot of who we are not,” Hernandez said. “I say that because you never no what happens in reality TV. They’ll showcase your music, they’ll showcase different things but that’s not who Joseline Hernandez is.” Will the reality star’s confession hurt the Love & Hip Hop franchise? We highly doubt it. Many of the same people who bash pro wrestling as fake and scripted will not miss an episode of their favorite reality show and won't even grasp the irony. Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

Well yeah, for once she is absolutely right. Her marriage to Stevie J. is as fake as the weaves she wears on the show. But pretty much not only LHH, but all those Housewife shows are fake too. My guilty pleasure is Mob Wives to be quite honest, they talk enough BS on that show to last a decade, but it's hilarious. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

< Co-sign on Mob Wives. It was so ridiculous this year with the Nat G thing. Note to Drita and Ang; If Nat G is a good friend to you then screw the short bus bunch (Renee and Karen) who you have problems with yourself and just have a good time with Nat. That whole situation annoyed me. It was SO scripted, otherwise why would Nat G contact Nat D's (a women she doesn't even know) BOYFRIEND for dirt to dig up on her??? Plus recordings that were too embarrassingly non-issue to play on air, Drita's schizophrenic anger and Karen's colossal stupidity made for an entertaining yet ultimately frustrating season. It's a struggle for the mind that tries to make rational sense of anything going on. I won't mention the obvious scripting done on the Housewives shows.

Ahhhh shucks, got to disagree with you...just a little bit. I love Renee and Karen, those two are just too crazy for words. I just can't dislike them, without them, there wouldn't be any entertainment, they MAKE the show IMO. With all the trash talking they do, at least we know they put some action behind those words. Now as for as Drita....I completely agree with you that she has schizophrenic tendencies...but she flip flops like no other. I love her punch lines but I find that she's slow to put action behind those words. Things drag on until eternity until she puts the fists up. Ang, well I could do without her, you could tell that the producers told her to turn up this season or she's out, which she did and well, failed...because she still bores me. Nat G...aka Ratalie? She's a straight up, bonafied cop calling, paper pulling, two-faced coward. Can't stand her and was really wishing that Nat D would call her out and bust open a can of whup ass on Nat G in front of everybody but of course, due to the "scripting" of the show, we never got to see that happen. Hopefully we will on the reunion....or maybe not. Oh yeah, what was up with them not playing the recording of Ratalie that Nat D pulled up on her phone? That was actually quite odd...but maybe not since this is again "scripted". I was actually quite relieved to see Carla pop up on a couple of episodes this season...perhaps they will bring her back next season...espcially since she and Drita aren't cool with each other no more. The first three or four seasons of The Real World were IT as far as "reality". By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory!

> Carla should give lessons on how to make a comeback on a reality show, looking like a million f'in bucks! The mircale of Ang is that she's likeable despite the fact that she comes off as Frankenstiens monster. I like that Ang gets over things and is all about having an easy good time. It's a nice balance from the histrionics of everything else. I see where you're coming from with Renee and Karen. Renee used to be my girl when it first came on. But what once was charming quickly turned disturbing. I'm sure everyone one day woke up and said, "Oh, she's not kidding. She really DOES have issues." Not cute. The problem with Karen is that she's dumb and sorry but dumb just isn't attractive. She's my least favorite becasue she refuses to get a clue. I might not be able to explain it but I like Nat G. I think it's because if you really look at it she doesn't really START anything. Her reckless mouth (boy is it reckless) is always in retaliation. She was a good friend to Drita and Ang and maybe that's what endeared me to her. Is she a cop calling blah blah blah? Of course. But like Renee said it's because her and London aren't really about that life. That she talks like she is is a problem. I know I wouldn't talk that way if people could throw me around like a rag doll. It's definitely not part of her charm.

> I think "the slap" was a negative turning point with The Real World. I kinda liked that season that went back to NY with Coral and my fave cast member of all time Malik. Malik was the coolest cast member ever!

You better tell it!!! That's the best I ever seen Carla look when she popped up out the blue this season. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

oh yeah. I know someone that was in one of those shows and it was fake! they would take them out to a restaurant and they would be there for hours and they would film everything.. then the producers would invent conversations out of all the things they said to make up all sorts of drama.

I worked with an actresss who was then a year later a farm girl on a dating reality show.
They mixed up some of her real details and tendencies with a character that was on the show. But they never tell you they are all actors. My art book: http://www.lulu.com/spotl...ecomicskid

I knew there was a Mob Wives post on this mofo somewhere. I heard "the recording" was doctored, thats why we didn't hear it on the show. I LOVED Vivica Fox hosting the reunion show - I'd like to see her have that brunch with Drita and join the cast to knock some bitches out. Does anyone else watch this with a friend and bascially impersonate them for at least one hour after? SO FUN. . . THE REAL WORLD franchise is now basically a loose non-competitive reality show featuring upcoming contestants on THE CHALLENGE, which is as drama heavy as Mob Wives. I love The Challenge, its like you never know what will happen next. I was so sad when I heard Diem Brown passed away, she really was cheating death and showing survivors how to do it.

What's this thing they have on TRW now where they invite your ex into the house?!? Crazy! As for Mob Wives, PLEASE don't let me find out they have scriptwriters coming up with those over-the-top threats. it would be as disappointing as finding out Mama June was the brains behind Honey Boo Boo's lines and had to constantly feed them to her, though I wasn't a watcher of that particular show.
