Dean Smith died today.

In addition to being one of the greatest coaches there ever was, Dean Smith dedicated his last 10 years or so to doing everything he could to educate people on the dangers of tobacco.

He was a great and courageous man.

Another coaching legend just passed away....Jerry Tarkanian. Had some great UNLV teams. Should have won back-to-back titles, but got screwed with a horrible foul call on Greg Anthony.

I loved the way he thumbed his nose at the NCAA, one of the most corrupt organizations around.
