Bobby Brown Releases Statement on Bobbi Kristina's Condition: "Please Allow My Family to Give My Daughter the Love and Support She Needs"

As Bobbi Kristina Brown lies in a medically induced coma at the Fulton Hospital in Roswell, Georgia, just outside of Atlanta, her father Bobby Brown is by her side. The ex-husband of the lateWhitney Houston released a statement to Us Weekly about his daughter on Sunday, Feb. 1.

"Privacy is requested in this matter," he said. "Please allow for my family to deal with this matter and give my daughter the love and support she needs at this time."

He did not provide an update on the 21-year-old's condition, but Bobby Brown's legal counsel,Christopher Brown of Brown & Rosen LLC, did say, "The report that Bobbi Kristina Brown has been taken to the hospital in Atlanta, Georgia is accurate. No additional information will be forthcoming."

Bobbi Kristina was found unconscious by her husband Nick Gordon at home in the bathtub on Saturday, Jan. 31, and was rushed to the hospital. According to TMZ, she has been placed in a medically induced coma and her situation is being described as "significantly diminished."

The incident is particularly eerie: Nearly three years ago on Feb. 11, 2012, her mother Whitney Houston was found dead in the bathtub of her Beverly Hills Hotel room.

Pretty much. And the theme around here seems to be painting Bobby as somewhat of a saint just because Whitney experimented with drugs before she met Bob. That has nothing to do with Bobby during, before, or after the marriage. Fame made this a guy a ticking time bomb ready to explode and mixing his volatile personality with whitney's insecurities just turned into a full blown car crash and Bobbi K was all in the middle of it. Whitney revealed (during an interview with Oprah)that Bobby spit on her during an altercation and that was it for her and that her daughter saw evidence of Bobby cheating on her and told her that she needed to leave. Bobby Brown, 45, released the first statement regarding daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown, 21, on Feb. 1. He’s asking everyone for “love and support” as his daughter fights for her life. Bobby and Whitney Houston’s daughter was found unconscious in her bathtub in Roswell, Georgia on Jan. 31.

“Privacy is requested in this matter,” he said in a statement, according to Us Weekly. “Please allow for my family to deal with this matter and give my daughter the love and support she needs at this time.”

Bobby rushed to Bobbi’s side as soon as he heard about her condition. His daughter was reportedly in “stable” condition, but hope for her recovery has since diminished.

“Krissy’s on life support and it does not look good,” a source told HollywoodLife.comEXCLUSIVELY. Bobby may have to make the decision of whether or not to TAKE HER OFF LIFE SUPPORT!!

Bobbi has been struggling ever since the tragic 2012 death of her mother. Bobbi and Whitney were extremely close, and Bobbi was only 18 at the time of Whitney’s death.

We learned that she has considered getting treatment for her alleged struggle with depression. Bobbi was also upset she wasn’t asked to be a part of the Lifetime biopic about her mother that debuted in Jan. 2015.

There’s no official word yet on what caused Bobbi to be found unconscious and face down in the bathtub of her home. Her cousin, YF Kennedy, claims drugs had nothing to do with the situation.

We are praying that Bobbi makes a full and speedy recovery. Our thoughts remain with Bobbi and her family at this time.

I watched his interview but I felt that he was very forthcoming in admitting his addictions. He's no saint but he's not the demon that most folks think he is. At least he's moved on with his life and has finally gotten his life together. I'm quite proud of him.

If this is drug-related, very sad that she didn't learn from the mistakes of her mother and father's wreckless lifestyles. I hope she pulls thru and get whatever help she needs.

TMZ reported just a few hours ago that there are signs of improvement in BK's condition, but it's still touch and go. They also reported that there was no indication of suicide or drugs, but what else could it be? I mean this is just way too coincidental for this to be just an accident. I remember watching the reality show after Whitney died where BK was obviously under the influence of something whether it was drugs or alcohol. She was slurring her words and just didn't seem to be lucid and in control. I don't trust the relationship between her and her so called "husband." This whole situation is just tragic, and unless she gets some heavy duty competent help, I don't see this ending well at all.

Admitting you're a Drug Addict and acknowledging the mistakes and the role you played in your Families Lives as a Drug addict are two different things. We saw him admit to one of his addictions (alcoholism) years ago on a VH1 reality show. I feel he minimized the destruction of his family. I don't know if I believe him when he said Whitney cheated and she also physically abused him. When he said he did not hit Whitney "hard" I knew then he was talking a bunch of BULL. I don't believe him when he says he's not sure why Cissy does not care for him. Bobby downplayed a lot of stuff in that interview...In order for an ADDICT to get his LIFE together he's got to be HONEST with himself and his Loved ones, especially himself...

Well that's your opinion of it even though your first sentence doesn't make any sense. As I said before, he has admitted (more than once might I add) that he was a drug abuser and how it affected his family and he has been honest with it. How much more acknowledgement does he need to admit to? He doesn't need to prove anything to the public and I'm pretty sure he could give a rats ass about what any of us think about it.

So he really doesn't need to say much more, in fact, I think that the Lifetime interview should be his last about the topic. As of right now, his focus is on praying for his daugther to pull through as I truly hope that she does.
