Turns out it is NOT Gwen Stefani singing the Deee-Lite song from 1990, but it is by Questlove (The Roots) and vocals by Charli XCX and Black Thought. I wonder why they didn't just use the original? Anway, I like it only because it reminds me of how good Lady Kier Kirby and Deee-Lite were. I miss them.

My problem is that its just a poor imitation of Dee Lite, its like karoake. I'm not sure why they didn't just use the original Im usre Lady Kier and the others could use the coin.

Possibly was cheaper to re-record it than get the rights to the original recording....happens often in tv/film.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who prefers the original. I was looking for a quality copy of the original video on youtube and didn't have much luck. It's too bad it didn't hold-up. I still think that song is just as good now as it was back then - and Deee-Lite are underrated and greatly missed. I did find a Gigamesh Remix of the song that's pretty good. The video has been made with Beyonce and Kazaky clips - and we know there are haters here - but if you're inclined, I've put the link here.
