I had the same thing happen to me just a couple of months ago when i stayed at a friend's place. She lives in an old cottage on yorkshire moors lol Seriously tho, i was wide awake & thought i imagined it.. lights were off & i was on the phone/internet. It was very brief, felt like someone brushed the corner of the bed which made it move.. i ignored it only for it to happen again less than 5mins later.

Definately didn't imagine it.. & decided to get my head down.

Decided to mention it to my friend in the morning who said it was the first report she'd had (the room is her kid's)

i stayed another night with no problems, but it did creep me out.

As for hearing words loudly, i had that once many years ago.. like someone shouted in my ear while i was asleep. the words did turn out to be significant.

My husband had it once, he heard his dad voice (who's passed) talking loudly in his ear, it woke him up & left him feeling weirded out.

My nan who was psychic always said don't be scared of the dead, but be more afraid of the living LOL

There's a perfectly logical explanation:

Excited- Wow! Interesting! Glad someone on here has had it as well. Yes, there's no mistaking, when your bed shakes, you KNOW that your bed is shaking. Incidentally, I also live in a cottage (like you said you were in) mine was built somewhere around 1920. Sadly, I LOVE my little cottage and I'm going to miss it so bad sad But I'm moving due to all of this. I talked to another neighbor over the weekend (this one lives behind me) and she gave me a whole litany of ghost stuff that she's had over the years , so apparently this is something that has been going on and must have something to do with the grounds. While I do hate all of this spooky stuff, I do love living in a place with so much history. But the bed shaking is a deal breaker - haha- Time to go!

Also, My grandmother passed about four months ago (this has been going on about 2 1/2 months) and before she passed I asked her to come back and let me know what happens when you die and she promised she would, "if God would let her" (she was very religious) so it is possible that it's her.
