Arrow, Jane The Virgin, Reign, The 100, The Flash, Supernatural, The Originals and The Vampire Diaries Renewed by CW

THE CW PICKS UP EIGHT OF ITS CURRENT SERIES

FOR 2015-2016 SEASON

Network Orders Additional Season for All Scripted Series on Its Fall 2014 Schedule

More Proven Original Series Throughout the Year,

Including Fall 2015, Midseason 2016, and Summer 2016

January 11, 2015 (Pasadena, CA) — The CW Network has picked up eight of its current series for the 2015-2016 season, it was announced today by Mark Pedowitz, President, The CW, during the network’s session at the Television Critics Association Press Tour in Pasadena. In essence, The CW picked up all of the scripted series from its Fall 2014 schedule to next season.

“Each of these series have helped define what The CW is today, a network that is home to smart, provocative, quality programming, targeting a savvy adult audience,” said Pedowitz. “By picking up these shows now, our executive producers can start planning next season’s storylines, and rolling these shows out throughout next season guarantees The CW will have more proven original series for our fall, midseason and summer 2016 line-ups.”

The series being ordered for the 2015-2016 season include Arrow (Season 4), JANE THE VIRGIN (Season 2), REIGN (Season 3), Supernatural (Season 11), THE 100 (Season 3), THE FLASH (Season 2), THE ORIGINALS (Season 3), and THE Vampire Diaries (Season 7). Specific premiere dates for each series will be announced at a later time.

"Reign" has quickly become a guilty pleasure for me and my wife. Queen Catherine de Medici is just AWESOME. I kinda like "The 100" as well, but it's a little too cheesy at times. Happy to see them both still kicking.

Make it so, Number One...

Looks like the CW knows how to have a little something for everyone. I watch at least 1 of those shows religiously, a few I watch on occasion, an episode or 2 maybe 4, a season. One I actually got addicted to by watching it that way, catching an episode here and there, until I just had to know the full story, so I caught up on it, now I watch it regularly not quite religiously as my 1 but I always do catch up within 3 episodes.

Except for Jane the Virgin and Reign most of the CW shows as an element of Sci-Fi.

A lot of things seem to fall under the SciFi heading, horror, superheroes and futuristic stuff. Not much left.
